I am a member on Mylot since the time of its inception. It has had many teething problems before attaining this excellent looking curent form. I am an ardent fan of this site for many reasons about which I am going to discuss in this discussion. On Mylot one can start discussion on any topic and one can create a new category also and can respond to any topic. There is no restriction on the number of postings. One can post as many number of discussions and responses as he/she wish on that site. There is no fixed tariff for postings. They have got some algorithm where they take, quantity, quality, number of posts together with popularity into consideration while paying the participants. I try to post elaborative posts on this site and I often see people don’t like this, People feel that elaborative posts don’t help in fetching good earnings. Through this column would like to stress the members on the Mylot site that the Admin wants a detailed and descriptive postings, which is always seen on the left side of the box in which we type. This is seen for all the posting including a comment. This is a clear cut indication that lengthy postings attract god earnings. Similarly posting a quality discussion or response, which means to present some original ideas, some useful information with proper grammar and with no spelling mistakes can also help one to make good money from the posts. Popularity of the member is decided by the Star marking which is seen along with the name. The more the value of one’s star means more is his/her rating. People with higher tar rating have chances of making more money than the people with less rated stars. Thus it is very important to be active on the site and make some good friends. The popularity is decided by actual participation by the member in the form of initiating some interesting discussion and participating in other’s discussion in the form of responses. Thus I conclude in this discussion that while posting a discussion or response one has to be descriptive, one has to present original useful ideas and should see that the posting is grammatically correct without any spelling mistakes. Active participation and involving other members of the site into discussion is very helpful in gaining the popularity and this indirectly will help increase one’s Star rating. I am goingto discuss about other aspects of this site in my coming discussions. Could you knidly present your vies on this discussion and oblige? Thanks!

I have observed that- most mylotters do not prefer lengthy comment or discussion. I myself seldom post a long response. I agree that we must and should elaborate our response to make it clear and if possible write a detailed response. However, there are discussions/topics that doesn't oblige us (mylotters) to write long responses just to make our response clear. There are short and simple responses but very precise that doesn't need lengthy post to elaborate. We can always post our views/ideas and share suggestion without writing a novel like responses.

Dear Jaiho, I agree with you and there is no doubt about your opinion that we need not elaborate our discussions or responses and they can be kept short! This is understood and Mylot admin also don't have any problem with such postings. I understand the fact that every individual has got a particular style of writing and particular way of expressing the things. Like you there are many people who may not really like to post elaborative posts. But at the same time I know there are many people who likes such elaborative postings and they also like such posts. Till the date I have been given 'Best Response' by many people which you can see on my profile page, and this encourages me to be elaborative and descriptive while I post. My point here in this discussion was by making elaborative discussions one can make better earnings and this is indirectly suggested you us every time we post a discussion or a response by this site in the form of short message on the left side of the box where in we type our postings. There is nothing like compulsion or obligation on the part of Mylotters to make a elaborative or long discussion. This is just one of the way we can make some more cents as i firmly believe that the length of discussion is directly proportional to our earnings! Thanks a lot for participating in the discussion and leaving your valuable opinion which I appreciate sincerely dear Jaiho! Have a nice time! Happy Mylotting!

I'm not much of a writer here, but I do read a lot of posts. On lengthy posts, I'd stop and read when I'm interested. And those that are well written are the ones that I reach to the end before I even realize no matter how long the posts are. One thing I'm always curious to find out from those who were here since the beginning is how was it here back then? I know the population must be a lot less; but if all of them were active then, it'd probably feel as busy as it is today.

Hello Dear Sishy, though you are saying that you are not much of writer your participation number shows that you are an active member on this site. That is a good thing to read people discussion. I too some times simply go on reading people's discussions without posting any thing. I like this. Yes, a lengthy posting can be interesting one too. If written properly and if the continuity is maintained with s good language and grammar than no body would mind to read such postings! Regarding this when it was new, though they had some teething problems of plagiarisms and unruly members; these were checked then by the strict and vigilant Admin. Many accounts were cancelled for the unfair methods adopted by the members and many members rejoined this site with new name! There was no dearth of members on this site! In the past also we used to have a lot of members who were quite active like today's members. Today I see the members are joining the site and they are not seen after some time after spending few weeks or months on this site. I really fail to understand about this trend! I am happy to see that some old members like me are still present on this site and they are enjoying their seniority here! Thanks a lot for the response dear Sishy I liked it!

hi AKRao my favorite avatar the horsie wow yes you h ave outlined the basics so I can only add lets all respect each other and each other's opinions too .we can give our opposing ones if we do it with due respect. They can liven up a discussion and bring a lot of really good responses to it.also for goodness sakes do not make slamming, flaming, scolding responses or discussions like Ex."some are crybabies here and they just should not post,." that is mean, its insulting and degrading too.these will be deleted when mylot admins sees them but they often stay for awhile as they did not see them. so people do not post mean responses or discussions here. mylot is for peaceful sharing and caring, learning and earning with respect for all of us.

Good Morning dear Hatley! Thanks a lot again for pampering my horse! I am pleasantly surprised to see a change in your profile picture. Though you have maintained the square pattern, you have added some design this time instead of the line patterns. This looks good! But as usual I think you are going to change this one very soon! Yes, dear Hatley this is just my opinion I have given with an explanation that we can earn few more cents by making a lengthy discussion. I never appealed any one to make lengthy discussions as I understand that every one has a freedom to write as per one's will! Dear Hatley, I think I am never rude or crude while responding others. I firmly believe that all the members of this site are coming from decent background and they understand what are manners and etiquettes. So makes no sense to be rue with such lovely people! While agree to your response’s concluding part I think my discussion is quite polite one and not a rude one or disgracing one! Thanks a lot for participating and leaving your valuable comment! I am honored! God bless you!

AK, nice to see you after a while. You shared a lot of good points in your topic and i agree with you, we must be descriptive in our reply and share our thoughts and opinions. We must interact with the topic creator and other members in the form of comments to have fun as well as increase our earnings in this site. We must give importance to our quality and try our best to post quality replies here to get a good reputation. As you mentioned it will help us to boost up our mylot earnings.

Hello Dear VP! Though there is nothing new I have discussed in my discussion, I wanted to give an explanation and make the wrong ideas prevailing amongst the new members about the lengthy discussions. I have come across few discussion s where members feel that lengthy discussions are boring in nature and that is why they don't want to participate in such discussions. Yes, some times lengthy discussions may be boring if not presented properly. As I discussed the original ideas and sincere approach to a subject in a lucid language will always attract the members towards our discussion. By responding back and also by involving he members into the discussion we are indirectly reciprocating them that their presence and participation is highly appreciated and thus we are sending them a positive message to them. This can help one to build good reputation on the site. This is one of the good ways to have a good rapport with our fellow members of the site. I know you are also a senior member on this site and you also try your level best to respond back to all possible responses you get. By this time you must have realized that we can earn more with descriptive postings than the posts with one or two liners! Thanks a lot for responding dear friend

I agree with you. I don't mind reading a descriptive discussion. I have also noticed that some people do not read the discussion but respond in the basis of the topic and they go in the wrong direction while responding. Yeah a good descriptive discussion can help us earn more that what we are earning now. I would like to be as much descriptive as possible where ever I can but one thing is that my english is not perfect and I am bound to make grammatical errors....Very informative discussion, Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Hello Dear Riyauro, I am pleased to know that you don't have any reservations against long postings or descriptive discussions. Yes, mostly people are responding the discussions just by reading the titles. Thus the responses as you said are mismatching or take the discussion in a wrong direction. That is why I always read the discussion completely before responding it. In fact such attempts are generally made by new members who are in hurry to make quick money on this site. In fact Mylot is a nice place to vent out our feelings with our near and dear ones while making few cents as an incentive. Dear Riyauro, please don't mind about your English and the grammar, you can always subject your posting to spell and grammar check in Word document before posting. Thanks a lot for responding! Dear Surekhaji! I feel responding on the basis of title is not a good idea and I realize that you know this fact as you have already mentioned about in your response. Regarding grammatical errors, we really need not feel bad abut it as English is not our native language. In spit of that we are trying our level best to explain he matters in simple language. For that matter how many Indian languages we know tough we are living in India? Thus in my opinion we instead of feeling bad hat we can't write good English. Our postings can always be subjected to spell check and grammar check in the word document and can be posted! Thanks a lot for responding! !
