There was a time not so long ago when Sharon Bucks used to release plenty of writing tasks here at mylot and mylotters used to wait for her tasks and when these tasks appeared on the 'available tasks' a feeding frenzy would ensue as the tasks would be lapped up in minutes. Those who were late used to wait for the 8 hours task completion time to be over. They would wait for unfinished tasks to reappear. They would grab those and one thing you have to say about Sharon , she was a generous paymaster and if you wrote well you could make uptp 4$ for a 300 word submission. That is how some members made in exces of 150 $ per months mainly because of her.
Last week I logged into the tasks to select a writer needed task and when I read the conditions I was amused when the reaquestor asked for native English writers, I applied hoping to get a good deal. The miserable ignoramus( some Kelly) was offering 1$ for a 500 word article. I tried to negotiate but was put down rather abruptly. I protested and was instantly labelled silly and insolent.
When I checked to see if I had been paid for responding correctly to the task I saw I was rejected for 'not being decent enough in communication.'
what is your reaction when you come across such unreasonable people who are are trying to recruit writers by paying peanuts and I wonder how they tackle the monkeys they end up hiring for their writing teams?

Yes have had joined some task here in myLot. I've responded to a blog commenting task and a follow on twitter task. It wasn't a complex task after all the only thing you need to do is to comment concisely about the blog and the article that was posted on the task.

what do you think about getting paid 0.5$ to 1$ for a 500 word article that requires research, proof reading, editing...etc? Do you consider that a fair offer?

That's not fair at all-- unfortunately, thanks to sites like Freelancer and others, it is considered standard by many. That's why I am very selective as to where I work, because I won't spend that amount of time for 1.00. The problem is, because there ARE plenty of people who live in places where one dollar U.S. goes a long way that will do these tasks, this person will keep getting away with posting them. If everyone refused the work, the poster would have to raise their rates.

The start for many free lance writers is greeted by such unfairly cheap compensation. But sites like constant-content are good provided you meet their high standards. I did and I now know that my writing is worth more than what these types think. Now the challenge is to produce written content consistently enough.

Sharon Bucks tasks are not there nowadays. perhaps they do not have work. another person kelly is giving work at a lower rate and expectations are very high. I am not doing these tasks, conditions are many payment is poor. rejections are more.

This Kelly has ridiculous rates and calls them standard rates which can't be debated. Whose standards? I was not impressed with their rates and made a counter offer but it was not accepted and I was called insolent and silly for having the gall to negotiate with them on their 'standard' rates.
