Hello mylotters. I am very interestingly waiting for the 3RD Double century in ODI cricket. Already two indians Sehwag and Sachin made this feat. Ok. Comming to the point, who do you think can break their record of double century and 219. I feel Virat Kohli has the ability to repeat it. Tell me your openion and describe how the player is capable.

219 runs by Sehwag in ODI or 400 not out by Lara in test innings are seem to be impossible tasks to be repeated within a few months or years. Any records are to be broken, but it may take time. Not only abilities but also favour of time is essential for birth of such records. As I indicated earlier each ball played by openers makes Virat Kohli away to reach 200 and then 219.

Yes. You are right. Kohli should get batting from the first 2-3 overs on his day.

@ syedjaffarshavali, Sehwag is facing problems to keep his form and to keep his seat in Indian team. Gayle isn't playing test cricket for West Indian team for past many seasons.

"Records are made to be broken" mate so it is possible that someone will break these records but when and whom that's the that no one can answer. You just have to wait and watch...

Breaking a record is difficult only for the first time. Once it is achievable anyone can do this. But even then a double hundred in ODIs is very difficult to achieve as it is having only limited overs. In my opinion now Gayle has only the caliber to cross that limit. because only hard hitters and those who score runs very quickly can only achieve it. Not only that they should also have the patience to be there on the crease till the last ball.

Chris Gayle seems to be the most capable person break this feat, any day if he gets a flat deck with short boundaries we can even get 250 to be achieved within the era of this dangerous batsmen.

Sahwag is very great player and he deserve that record. he is very talented and entertaining player of cricket. and it is really very very difficult to beat his record of 219. because sahwag also took many years to break the record of 196. But Kohali is also very energetic and talented , he has that ability but in near some years i don't think that he will break that record of sahwag. After Kohali i have one more player who can break this record ,the all-rounder from Australia Shane Watson, he also capabilities and is highly talented player. He can hit the ball all the out of the boundary. so in mu eyes these two players can break this record but again i have to say that this is not cup of tea for any player to break 219 in one days.
