Mylot moderators...

Does mylot have moderators who check out discussions and responses? I would think there is someone who makes sure the discussions aren't prejudicial in any way or are too sexually explicit. Some people just don't like that stuff. Do you know if there has ever been any problems between two mylot members that caused a problem? If there are moderators do they ever respond to discussion? Has anyone personally spoken to a moderator in any way?

natliegleb who on earth do you think deletes any discussions in which we broke mylot d o nots, God? of course we have admins who police us.otherwise t here would be mayhem and flaming like on other moderator less sites.

I think it's a computer doing most of the job, tracing for certain words, etc and responding if someone is reporting someone. Otherwise it must be a terrible job of many people working day and night to check everything.

hi kitty and lamb I sure would hate to think that no human being ever oversaw our
posts as software is not living thinking people who weigh whether or not one'
has made a poll type discussion.Alex once told me that although technically my discussion might border on poll type the fact it engendered so much response made him not delete it.so humans

Certainly, moderators are here around. They sometimes deleted my promotional topics or even my response. I am trying my best for not violating the rules. Thank God, I am back here and my account still alive. So, beware of moderators.

i knw that is right but what make mad why do they do that i cant stand when they do that andwe trying to help other ppl but if it is something that we sayit can be true and it get to them sometimes and then they get mad and delete u that is nt good let us do that it is nt up to them it isup to us

ctryhnny yes we have mylot admins and yes they do check all discussions and delete all posts that break the do nots listed in the guidelines that so
many newcomers,maybe you too? fail to read and should read as it
tells all about how mylot works. read also the FAQ's too for even
more information. as for people flaming here all they need do is do it
p ce and wham that is deleted. if members keep up with that they get 'banned. yes mylot is welled moderated or I would not have been here going on five
years.I have private messaged GOASkAlice a number of times and always got
a nice response from Alex the new Alice.

I have never seen or spoken to a moderator.. All I have ever seen was an email explaining that a discussion that I have responded to was deleted.. The only other type of medation was from other mylots; especially vets that will come in and try to sort out the issue.. but thats is about it...

I got a few emails saying my response was deleted because the discussion was. When they told me which one it was I couldn't understand why it was deleted. No bad words were used and I keep away from iffy discussions. I know some people don't like certain things but everyone to their own

More then likely the whole discussion was deleted.. Someone else proably broke the rules.. I am not sure if its always this way but most of the time if a comment is not within the perimeters of mylot, its all gone.. So its something to think about when you are responding to a discussion.. We can not control what others write but we can make sure that we are doing it right.. Dont feel bad I also got some of those emails saying that certain comments were deleted.. And I know for a fact that I didnt say anything out of line..

for ever the lamb is right mylot does have moderators, some discussions have been taken down because of abuse. the reason I know this is if I've responded to a discussion and it's been removed I receive an email notifying of this. Also as for ever the Lamb mentioned all the members assist with this by reporting abusive stuff.

What we consider as "bad" is not always the same as what admins thinks.
Repeated topics are often reason for deleltion though we might be unaware that the topic was a repeat at all.
