Hello friends! Just for a change, I want to share this experience regarding my work. My job has something to do with supervision on the local government. From time to time, village officials will come to the office to seek advice regarding their duties and functions as village officials and other related matters. A client came to my office this morning. He is the head of a certain village, he is complaining about a fellow official for calling him a low-minded head of the village. He said he really had a problem with this fellow official because he always talk not so good things about him. So I advice him to settle the case within their area. Summon the fellow official to come to his office or during the official meeting to settle this things. At the afternoon, the official which was the subject of complaint of the head of the village also came to the office. He said another side of story. He said that the head of the village misinterpreted him and he did not call him low-minded. So I advice him to wait for the call of the head of the village so that they can settle the things within and among themselves. I told him that since his words was misinterpreted by the head of their village, it is necessary to make it clear to him. Also, I added that it is not bad if we would be asking sorry if we think we offended somebody. He told me he is willing to ask for forgiveness if ever that is the case. I hope they would settle the case as soon as possible. How about you my friends, what would be your advice if you were in my place? Have a nice day!

I think you made the best advice to both of them. You're doing a great job in the future reconciliation of both officials. Keep it up.

Hi pahak! Thank you for appreciating my effort. I'm so afraid to give my advice because as I can see, these people have been on the service for several years already and I am just new in the department. But I am combining the little knowledge that I have, my instinct, and part of the qualities of a good father of a family, although I am a mother, he he. So far, I can feel that they are willing to follow the advices that I am giving them. Thank you for sharing!

Hi, You should consider their political affiliations for things like this mainly comes from their disparity in political party. It could flare up to more serious matter if not addressed properly. If they belong to the same line-up, then there's nothing to worry, it is only a case of petty misunderstanding that can be resolved easily.

Hi rog! A pleasant day to you. We are being encourage to resolve any conflict in the very peaceful manner. Secondly, we should not deal it in a fault finding manner. So as much as possible we try to avoid talking about affiliation on this level. As of now, the other party came back to the office and told me he is willing to ask for an apology to the offended party. I think this willingness on his part would be enough to settle this problem. Have a nice day!

I think they need to resolve the issue, even in barangay level. If it didn't work out, proceed to the next level.

Hi,ARIES1973. Your job is so complicated. Many things are not just like we saw it. Things usually have different aspects. I think if they can deal with it by themselves, just let the thing go.

Hi HuaZhao! You just made the perfect description about my just. It's really complicated. Just like a relationship, eh? Well anyway, that is really my job and I have to learn how to do it. You know I received a comment from an employee in the municipality, she was observing me the whole day, she said I am too young for my profession. I laugh. Then asked her why. She said, she can't imagine a young girl giving advice to the old men, he he. I too, think about that way. But this is my job. By the way, I want to thank her for saying that I am young. I wanted to tell her actually that I just look young. Have a nice day and thank you for sharing!

Well, they are both public servants as the information said that should be settle in the area of jurisdictions like if they belong to the same barangay, that can be settle in their barangay but if different area that can be settle in the Federation office or in the sangguniang bayan office. Well, what you have advice to them is right. And if i was in your shoes i do the same thing.......things should be settle immediately before it got worse especially they are officials, should be the model for their constituents....a dialog would clear things ...happy day

The truth is this is the first time I had given my opinion on matters like this and I am not very confident about it although I know that what I am saying is correct. You know I am a very soft spoken person and I am afraid they notice I am new to this field of work. But I am glad that the official was also kind and seems to obey when I told him what to do. Sometimes I think I am not for this position. Thank you for sharing.
