Are rented referrals for PTC really human?

As we know that many ptc sites have facility to buy referrals. I want to know these referrals are really human of some thing like bots. I have lot of times search about this in google but most of answers were bots. PTC experts ( those earning well having more direct and rented referrals)says that they are human. So we have to observe their activities. My plan of asking this question is that I want to rent referral in neobux and observe rented referrals activities. If they are really human then I think I have to made around 100 referral list those are really working. this will help me to earn more but after having more experience.So please share your opinion.
