Sometimes I find that mylot is very slow and takes a long time to come up. It isn't anywhere special. It's when I try to start a new discussion or respond to one. I'm trying to figure out the best time to log on. Is it early morning, afternoon or nighttime? Does anyone know the answer to this?

For me, I log on in myLot every morning. I don't know why. Maybe its because my cousin always woke up early in the morning to go to school and so, I would also wake up and then, I can't go back to sleep anymore. Since I don't have a job, I stay here whatever I want
Another is I think the internet connection is fast if early in the morning. Well, that is what I know.

I also felt that internet connection is little more faster on morning than other timings and I just used to sit in front of PC for doing mylot as well as for doing downloads
.
In morning the traffic of net users are quite less and this is the reason for the fast connection
.
Anyway enjoy mylot with your fast connection

The best time is week-ends, weekdays, day or night, 24/7
There is always someone here as it is an international site with people from all over the globe and there is always someone willing to participate somewhere.
Check the "recent" tab and keep refreshing it to see where the action is when you log in.

For me anytime is the best time for mylot. The speed varies according to the internet speed that you have and I guess it has got nothing to do with the mylot site. But yes, Mylot site is a little slow no matter how fast a internet connection you have!
But sometimes I feel that the people here are not there. Even though there are thousands of people on Mylot, sometimes I feel that no one is actually online. I feel like I am surfing alone mainly because, there wont be any new discussions posted for long and no responses to the discussions posted by me.
I would love to stay here online on weekends because, there will be a lot of people and it is always fun when you have so many people responding to discussions not only yours but the discussions that I respond to!

I've been mylotting for a long time and in my experience there is really not any right or wrong time to log onto mylot. Yes, there are times that the server is slow, but I have seen it happen at all different times during the day to see that the server is slow.
So, the best suggestion that I could ever possibly give to anyone is to spend time on mylot when it is convenient for you to be on here. When the servers are slow, deal with it and also realize that they won't stay slow forever.

Hi ctryhnny,
From my own experience with myLot I don't think there's a best time to login. You can log in anytime as long as you awake! The website is open 24/7 as far as I know. The best time for me to log in is when I'm fully awake and alert and feel like participating in a discussion. Otherwise my response may not be the best that I can give and that's not desirable. Have a nice day.

I would ask you to be here when you have a good mood of mylotting. This is the time when I am over here. I feel I can respond as well as comment with good full efforts.

Anytime of the day I think and it depends on your mood to discuss what's on your mind. There is no specific time for best time here in mylot because all participants came from different part of the world and we have our own time in our own country. We might be in sleeping mode but others are busy in here. The essence in that is, here in mylot there is no idle time in participation of mylot users.

I see from the responses so far that many people have a certain time of day that they feel is beneficial, whereas I consider the time of day to be academic. The beauty of Mylot is that once someone has posted, that post is available for comment or response irrespective of whether you are online at the time or even a month later.
I realise that there are tiomes of day when Mylot is busiest, but this does not reduce what is available at other times.

I am here in the nights mostly , but whenever I get a little free time during the day like now I do check in . Things kinda seems slow these days here but hope things pick up soon because I need some topics discussion to respond to and its hard finding the older ones .
So the answer to your question is , log on anything you feel to . The site is always active and you will always have someone to talk to all day and night .

There is NO speacil time as such for me to log in and spend some time on Mylot. Whenever I free and feel like logging in to the internet first thing I log in to Mylot and try to spend some time. If at home and no other work then I spend more time other wise just around one hour maximum.

I guess it beats reading the newspaper
Even... there?
