Spent our Joint Birthday Celebration at Sumilon Island

Sumilon Island in Cebu has always been one of our favorite vacation destination here in the Philippines. We love the thought of having a nearly private island, to explore and enjoy. They only have 15 cottages on the island. So, we barely see the other guests in one place. There are some daytrippers but the island is just huge enough to accomodate everyone without having to crowd at one area. There is a lagoon where we can do kayaking, fishing and even just lounge at a floating cottage. There is a snorkeling area where we can see a lot of live corals and colorful fishes. There is also a huge sandbar where we can enjoy sunbathing, swimming and picture taking, of course. There is also a trekking activity for the adventurous hearts. The kids can even have fun at their mini playground right on the beach. Plus, the food is great and the staff are just so friendly and accommodating. I, personally, love the room ambiance and the beach. I just love this place and I'm grateful my husband and I, who are both Octoberians, get to spend our birthday this year, there.
