I have a funny and memorable experience with my dog. He was gone though.
His name was Monty.
It happened when we moved from a different house and then he was scared of the streets because he was used to our old place. So every time I will go to school, he would follow me. But I have to ride a jeep so he can't really go with me. One day, it seems like he doesn't want me to go so he keeps on barking on me along the street. I can't ride a jeep that time because of him. After a few minutes, he went far to pee and so I took the chance to escape. I immediately ride the jeep and was hiding so he can’t see me. But afterwards, he ran towards the place where he left me and looked for me everywhere. He sniffed, and sniffed and looked inside the jeep and there he found me.
He keeps on barking, like telling me to go down. But the jeep went off and he ran and followed us. So, I asked the driver to please stop and to my surprise, he jumped inside, barking and went to me. The passengers were amused and at the same time, scared. I wasn’t able to convince him to just go so I went off the jeep and waited for another chance for me to escape. Glad something caught his attention so I ran again when another jeep passed by.
That's how cool my pet was.
I missed him so much. We had so much fun together.
Do you have any awesome stories to share about your pet/s?
..would love to hear them...err, read them.

We have two cute pets righ now. A black one with white color under her neck to the navel and a brown one. We don't have a name for them yet. They are so cute, fat and noisy.
It had been a long time since the last time that we had a pet. I am looking forward to more days with them with my youngest child playing with them.

My husband and I have a dog and we've had her since she was a pup. Actually my husband delivered her. Anyway, I could tell you a lot of cool stories about her, but there's one in particular that will stay with me forever. Pandora (our dog) likes to play catch with "squeaky" toys. So I would play Fetch" with her. When she brings the toy back, she will sit down and let me have the toy. After she gives us the toy and she's still sitting I give her a treat. So one day, I decided to teach her to "catch" it. So I threw it to her and told her to "catch" it and she did. Well, she brought it to me and we went through the routine, except for this time I told her she would get "2" treats for "catching" it. So we did the "fetch" and "catch" routine for a while. (Her knowing she got "2" treats for "catching" it.) Well, I threw the toy and told her "catch". My husband was talking to me about something and I went to give Pandora her treat and I only gave her "1" and I was answering my husband. She kept sitting nudging my hand that the treats were in as if to tell me, "O.k., I caught it and you only gave me one treat, I want my other one!" I couldn't believe it , it was as if she knew how to count and that I was going to cheat her out of a treat!

I envy those dogs who can play fetch. I never had a dog who can do that.
I once tried it to Monty, it failed so I never tried it again.
Pandora is one smart dog. How could she knew you signaled 2 treats for her.
Really, these dogs have some animal instinct.
Absolutely wonderful story. Thanks for sharing!

we have had several pets over the years.
and one time we had two dogs. they like to play a lot, both of them. though they are never allowed inside the house. well there were times that due to their running around playing, either would be pushed inside the house. and either would be scrambling back outside.
i don't know if you'd see that as cool. but it's just funny to think that it seems they know the rules, considering that they were not trained about not going inside.

I have many about my pets. I have had a dog but long ago and he was never kept in the house sadly. My parents kept him outside 24/7 all year round claiming he didn't like it in the house but they put him in the lonesome basement when they tried it one day when he was already somewhat grown (maybe 6 months after we got him?) so of course he wouldn't like the house it was in the dark and lonely basement.
Anyways I have had several cats and they have been pretty cool just like my dog. My dog was the best dog ever having to deal with my parents' ways as I just spoke of, I was too small to even realize how wrong that was. My one cat Joe was so funny one time when he came in the house. My brother was laying in the living room with his socks on and no shoes and he went up to his socks and sniffed them. Well, seconds later he ran back to the door again to go out! It was like, wow dude those socks stink, I'm outta here again! It was so hilarious, it's a joke very so often here. Then one time he was passing the litter box in which that time it wasn't clean yet and my other cat had used it. Well, he stopped went over to the litter box and actually covered the other cat's "mess" in the litter box as he saw fit, in other words it was as if he thought the other cat didn't do a good job cause it still smelled bad to him. He lived to be 20+.

So sad your dog was put in the basement. How could your parents do that? But since you said you're still small when that happened so you have no choice to rescue him and live inside your house.
But your cat Joe was really a funny cat. Imagining the cat's facial expression. Haha! One real smart cat to have.
With the socks and the litter box, he's a clean cat. Not like the other cats roaming around here in our place.
Wow, he lived until 20? 20 years?
Wonderful!
Thanks for sharing!
