Hello Lotters, Only if we take it seriously in exposing them and taking them, more over if we don't vote for politicians that has them. the private armies that I recall that has been taken down was the Eccleos and Ampatuans, but that's nothing compare 60 more of these existing in the suburbs. Didn't you know that from 200,000 units of Police Officers of the PNP it has drastically decrease to 140,000 Officers! (that's low to high rank officers!) We have a VERY VERY LOW number of Law Enforcers, but he saddest part is the AFP is far Lesser than that! I can't believe we kept complaining and whining to the law enforcement and military when they have such low numbers from 10 to 1 against criminals and REBELS! the probe of 60 private armies either will take a while or won't last....

Well most of these private armies do exist because the politicians in these areas pretty well know that povert and illiteracy is high in their localities. They sow fear and influence their voters to favor them to be their leader because of the army they possess. That is why if you will see in many areas where poverty and illiteracy is prevalent this armies do exist.

That is the ideal setting where government could really keep up with the delivery of a good quality education to these areas. But as they said it easier said than done. With the private armies still lurking around and AFP is quite helpless in disarming them how can you expect the government can really deliver the education this people deserves to have. Although we can say our economy is growing by these percentage we cannot really see it at the moment. I hope that someday the government can really exert their muscle against this.

Hello Rsa101, I guess the only answer to that is education and empowerment to the poor, because if we enpower the poor, political and corrupt will never stand a chance against them. not to mention they are the reason why the same number of known politician keeps on winning the election.

i think we as a human beings are not acting like we should. we did not fight for education. but we play in the hands of these cruel leadership who do not want to let people know the real story. we should all stand united to fight for education of our generations.

hi friend, private armies exist only because administrations tolerate them or they are being used for selfish motives to stay in power expecially in the Northern and Southern Philippines , with no blessings, I am sure our AFP and PNP can easily dismantle them, yeah some of our law enforcers are also part of the private armies

Hello louievill, that's really sad that with the number of these armies some people are also part of the private armies of the politicians. no wonder no one believes there's hope in the country because most of the law enforcers are lured to money and power. I think they should increase the number of their units.

People would always be used so long as they are lured by money, the only way to combat this is to elevate moral standards and personal principles, all this deteriorates when people put too much on physical and material and neglect the spiritual aspect, yeah add professionalism for the men and women in uniform.

there's a lot of private armies specially here in our place in pampanga. as far as i know, the people at the local government are actually the ones who handles and supports them. what the! that's why there has been always murders when election comes because government is being controlled by these private armies.

human beings are under attack by these armies. even secret agencies are hiring the services of the such armies. now they have license to kill with the help of agencies. people should come out to root them out
