Now I am interested in Online share Trading. I am toatally new to this field therefore I don't know much about this. I am from India and now I am thinking of doing some online trading as this would help me to earn some money or atleast with a view to invest in it. Iheard that do invest in equities with an idea of long term because then only we will get the profit.
But my problem is that since I am new to this I don't know how to begin with it in the sense that what should all I have for that. I know about about the demat and the trading accounts but I want to know more about the brokers who are more reliable and the ones whom we can really trust and also those who pay only the less brokerages. I came to know about ICICI and Shaerkhan, but I want to know are there any other big reliable sources.
Therefore any information about this would really be helpful for a beginner in this field like me. Please share your opinions.
Thanks in advance :)

Geojith BNP Paribas and Karvy Stock Broking are big names in this field in India. They charge Rs 0.05% per Rupees 1000 for stock purchase or sell. Both these have so many branches all over Kerala. Geojith is a Kerala based company listed in BSE and NSE. BNP Paribas is world famous company, now joined with Geojith.
