I was sick 2 weeks ago, and since then I have not gotten back to my daily pilates and aerobics, which I've maintained for 4 months now. I'm really concerned that I may not be able to pick up from where I left off on my routines. My appetite is getting bigger and I have not had healthy activities lately. I haven't gained a pound yet, since last month, but I'm really worried.
I bought zumba cds because I'm thinking that having a new activity might spark my interest. I got the Cds yesterday, but I haven't touched it until now.
I need advice and tips on how I can get my mind and body to synch on this matter.

Since you already have the Zumba, try playing the dvd first. Once you see it, it probably able to get you the move. Zumba is really fun. The music really got you into the move. Pilates may not be as exited as Zumba. Do it with friends, it's even more fun! If you have wii, OMG, it will get you into the groove. Put your dvd next to the dvd player. Put the poster in front of your room door, place that you always see/pass in the house. Weekend, rather than watching tv, you play the dvd. Once you see it, you probably want to try it. Happy dancing or Zumba-ing!

I've been thinking of doing that, too. However, I end up watching the series of telenovelas in the afternoon, which is my usual scheduled for exercise.
Yes, I have Wii. Is there a zumba game for wii? Wow, that's cool.
I will really force myself to get started with it. Question is when?!?

Wow.. I am happy for you. Hope you find it so fun that you forgot about the exercise. Zumba makes people doesn't feel like they are exercising. By the end of it, you actually feel the sweat and burn calories. No worry about the false moves, when I first started, I just moves. I am not too good with dancing, so I just move, doesn't care if it is right or wrong.. After a couple of times, I can do it better and better. Keep it up!

It's really easier said than done. It's getting started that is difficult to do, but once you're on it, you got it!

Are you okay now? I think that's the important thing. I'm also the same way when it comes to exercising, at first I am green and go but after a while I would lose interest and gradually start being reluctant to do it. But whenever I feel like I'm getting lax, I would just step into our weighing scale and whenver I see that I'm dials away from my ideal weight, my mind shifts so fast into high gear in getting back on track. Maybe you can post a picture of a celebrity or any person that for you is an ideal body? It might help you motivate to exercise more and get back to working out.

I think what motivated me before was seeing how diligent my husband is with exercising. Recently, he got busy and engrossed with work, and only gets to bike 1 to 2 times a week. Since he slowed down with his routines, I also felt lax about it.
I hope he gets back on track so I would also be motivated and challenged.

Excersising is a great thing to do. But yes one needs to get interested or even excited to do. As it can be very boring.

I tried one of the advices from another lotter who responded, and it did help me today. I've done 1 of the CDs which is 55mins long, and I just hope I could keep it going, until it becomes part of my daily routine.
