There goes your 401k if you have one. There go your investments if you are an investor. There go your retirement incomes if you get retirement from a corporation or state government or were a school teacher. All because you voted for Obama. Hopefully the market will come back, but I wouldn't count on it. It is just a sign of the failing economy that Obama's polices will bring now that he feels he can do whatever he wants since he has been reelected.

I'm sorry, could you say that a bit louder? I can't hear you over the sound of how the Dow was at 7949.09 when President Obama took office and even with today's loss -- 12932.73 -- that's a 62% jump he's delivered. Also, can someone explain dollar cost averaging to this person? And that thing where markets go up and down on a daily basis? Also, can someone fetch this person a newspaper article that covers what happened in Europe yesterday and how the role that played in today's market? They seem to think that President Obama's reelection is the only thing to have happened yesterday...

If Obama hadn't been in office holding the recovery back, the DOW probably would have rebounded 162%.

If Obama walked on water, you'd whine that he couldn't swim.

Well, I'll be darned. The Dow Jones surged to an all-time high since 2007 in March of this year. Something well over 13,000 points. And Nasdaq had closed around 3000. March of this year. Hmm. Who was the president? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/13/dow-jones-surges_n_1342977.html

I had an extra $300 lying around three weeks ago until I let my brother borrow it. Since I did have it back then, does that mean I can buy groceries with it now? When I figure out what planet you guys are from, I'll see about working out a visit. The air up there must be lovely.

Isn't that so funny that these guys claim Obama is against capitalism and rich people except for 2 problems. One is Obama is rich himself and for the rest of his life. Then 2, the Wall street people are as rich as ever. Some people just are not telling the real truth here. BTW no one hates Obama for being rich, that's probably because he gets it.

I agree; I'm sure the economy will tank now. Whether people think it will or not won't matter a bit when they don't have enough money to buy the basic things they need. Oh, wait. The government will do that for them...

let's see if he stills blames it on Bush I mean this time around who did he inherit the mess from? All he did the last four years is slowly sink our country and blame it on the old guy..so now who is to blame, congress the senate? It's the evil Republicans who are misusing the system to hold him at bay ! I mean it's the Republicans who make the words come out of his mouth that insults almost every foreign dignitary he meets right?

He won't blame Bush OpinionatedLady...he will blame the Republican House. You hide and watch. He doesn't want to do anything but have a good time and when he doesn't do what he promised the people he would do, his excuse will be the Republican House of Rep (Senate is Dem)...that they aren't working with him. HOpefully we can hold on for 2 more years and if people will wake up and smell the coffee..they will vote in a Rep Senate. If not...we are doomed.

I don't think it will be just the Republicans I mean he threw Hillary under the bus for the whole not listening to real threats! I guess once a rival always a rival!

Wow, you guys blame Obama for things (albeit inaccurately) almost as much as you claim he blames Bush. Such a loving bunch.

Boy, you guys will pick on anything that you can possible blame on President Obama. Nevermind that the rest of the world is also involved in the stock market and its ups and downs. When are you gonna support your country and stop nit-picking?

The reason the market is down is because of the looming financial cliff and Obama's record of refusing to negotiate. He just blames the other side. The market fears there will be more of the same with a disastrous result.

When are you gonna support your country and stop nit-picking? we can differentiate between the MAN who sits in the Oval Office and THE CONSTITUTION that is our COUNTRY. We support OUR COUNTRY. YOU support the man who sits in the Oval Office.
