For me Titanic is the best romantic movie of all time. It is timeless and until now it is one of the most talk about movie. I heard that Twilight had beat Titanic's performance, earning more money in the box office. I know it's like comparing apple with oranges as they both have a different story but Twilight did not really had that huge impact to me. And I guess Twilight's popularity will be gone immediately just few years after the last movie is finish. I love the book though.

Yes, Titanic is definitely a great Romantic Movie. I watched it thrice in the cinema. First time was many years back. This year watch twice on the 3D cinema screen. Enjoyed every moment of it. I can't compare as I have not watch any of the Twilight's. It seems it have great fans all over the world too.

Perhaps you are right. Years ago this movie already had the great success in the box office. And this year its 3D version is available. Although the cast, story and everything is the same but with 3D effects only, this movie is still the best selling in the box office. It is a legend.

Titanic will always be one of the greatest romantic movie ever made , it sure impact my thinking of the way love should be . I love the first Twilight but still they come nothing close to Titanic in my eyes . Rose and Jack Character are so beautiful and seems they were made for love . I believe that too, Twilight will not be a show that can last out the years as how Titanic have . After the chapters have closed Twilight might be just a faint memory .

I watched the movie only once, I mean "hey! whose crazy girl wants to see Leo die, right?". But I still love the movie and its story aside from Leo deCaprio. And how Cameron was so particular with the details about the sinking and all. Twilight saga is fine. Maybe the reason I can't relate to it is that the love story is only applicable to teens. Sorry if I hurt some fans.. I haven't watched the Breaking Dawn book 1 yet and book 2 is about to hit cinemas next week, and its no big deal if I miss both. LOL!

I agree with you there. Titanic was also the best romantic movie in my book. Gives me an idea, I saw it here on dvd for 5.00. I may buy it, and add it to my dvd movie collection.

I believe that the impact of both movies is generational. Titanic is a movie that spoke to people of a certain age that remember when the great ship was found and watched as it was explored. Twilight is popular with the current generation, it's "their" books and "their" movies. In the future they will be comparing it to a new book/movie franchise and saying that it is not as good.
