I a filipina 26 years of age is in a relationship and currently engaged to a australian guy whos age 47. We have a 23 months old daughter (barely 2 yo). Before, i never thought of having a long distance relationship, it never cross my mind to end up with a guy 21 years older than me. Maybe it is my destiny. I was 23 years of age when I first met my fiance online on some dating sites. Since day one of our friendship we are always eager to find time and talk. We started as friends then we became special friends but we never said we love each other. I think I am inlove but he also never says any about love. Then one day he said he wants to visit me. I was happy that at long last we got to meet. I picked him up in the airport and right there and then he said The Word I LOVE YOU! I was surprised. Stood their for a few minutes. It feels like no ones around and the world stops and the only thing i could hear is both our heart beats. ..... He spent time with me and went to some places for the entire three weeks. After three weeks he finally have to say goodbye for the fist time and back on his home land. I was left there sad because i dont know whats going to happen next or when will he visit me again. After three weeks from the day he left i was shock with the news that i am pregnant . I am happy, excited, worried, and i dont know what to do. I carried my baby in my womb for 9 months with out my fiance by my side. It turned out well and gave birth to a beautiful baby. My fiance visited me for the second time for another three weeks after i gave birth. Left again and i dont know when he is comming back. It was not a smoth sailing relationship too. We have been to rough times. Treats of infidility is there but i was always faithful and patient despite the distance, social media, emails, chat and phone calls are the only means of communication we have. I see to it i dont forget the old ways too, like sending greeting cards and mails through post. The next visit was at amys birthday for another three weeks . Our daughters first birthday, i met her mom as well who gladly came over for a visit. As years goes by i didnt think it would be possible for us to continue this love affair, not married after 3 long years snd been only for 12 weeks all in all. After 6 months of waiting finally i got a visa to australia to visit him this time with our daughter. Our 3 weeks become 3 months until we extended our stay up to 5 months. Wheeeeeeew atlast all my pstience were paid off. Our bond and love become stronger than ever. Our relatiaonship was tested through the years. Now back in my home land i am still hoping that our long distance love affair will end soon and we will start a new journey for our togethernes forever.

Hi iMamom, What stopping your fiance to file a petition for you? Finances? I am married to an American guy and I been living here in the United States for 3 years. As soon as my husband left the Philippine soil, he started to file a petition for me. We only met once in the Philippines. My husband is not rich but he made way for me to be with him and now we have a 2.5 year old boy as you see in my default picture. I am praying and hoping that you and your daughter will be with him and be together as family. I am praying that I will see you tie the knots with this man, the father of your child, whom you truly love. I know and I can feel how hard it is for you. Keep praying sister and ask for a sign. God bless you

THank you Holyangels, Yes, One main reason is Money, I haven't tried to apply yet for a fiance visa. He doesnt have a stable job, He is unemployed currently for the last 2 years. He works on his own, he is a brick layer, stone mason, builder but he owns his home. I have been reading the requirements. It looks like my fiance doesn't qualify. But still hoping theres a why. I hope you can share your experience with regards to migration process. I appreciate your curiosity. I would love to hear from you soon.

Very inspiring indeed. What makes me feel proud of you is the love that binds between you and him despite of the distance and struggles that you were saying. When two people are meant for each other, love will always make a way. Good luck and wishing you a happy life :)

What a great love and patience. I think it wasn't really easy for your and your partner. But like what you have said, all the waits are paid off. Glad to hear that you were able to visit there for atleast 5 months. Why don't you and your daughter stay there for good? I think it would be great as well. Congratulations on the success of love that you have for that guy. He deserves you more than anyone else, you are a faithful and loving woman. Best of luck.
