Hello Lotters, I still find it hard to believe that election is coming. ALL I see to those people who are running are mostly came from political families. even the guy BAM AQUINO is running, who seemed to look like of Ninoy Aquino himself, some reacted their not voting for him i don't see any changes going on. We should all be on guard from now on do research ourselves and not rely too much on the media. sadly those who don't have cable and internet, are easy to be lured by the media's bias or lack of information to that particular candidate. What do you think about the latest people running? are they qualified? and what do you know about them? is it even practical now?

Surely, I will be exercising my right and vote those I think most deserving although I know most of my candidates will have no chance of winning. Ever since after Marcos rules, All presidential candidates I voted lost, and most of senatorial candidates I selected failed on their bid to Congress. And as long as I have my right to suffrage, I will keep on exercising this right because it is my duty to vote for the right candidate that I believe should be the true leader of our country. Have a nice day. Ciao!

the Problem during the Marcos Regime was the results are always rigged and when ever they know that the contender is huge, they will make sure marcos would still win. now, the problem is that more people are iliterate and would always believed what the media tells them to. unfortunately, when i chose the other guy, that's when i was awaken from this being bias of theirs

I am not talking about Marcos era, because voting then was just a show. What I was talking is that after he was force out of office, all president after him are not my choice of candidate for presidency. Because of too many presidential candidates, the election became more of a popularity contest, and not base on performance and credibility. Our nation must make up what type of government we really like. If we want to retain the presidential form of government then we have to go for a 2 party system, and if what we really want to go is parliamentary then the multiparty system that we have is okay. And if we really want the truth for any candidates, then we must have an open mind to scrutinize unbiasedly both the cons and pros the media are throwing to each candidates. Have a nice day. Ciao!

Well despite there are lesser and lesser new faces coming out I guess I will still exercise my right to vote still. I will just choose as wisely as possible and pray that my choice was the right one for our country. I guess that is what I can contribute to my country and that happens once every three years so why waste it.

Hello rsa101, the faces aren't really new except for bam aquino who has not really proven himself at all. if he's not doing this because of influence then he should have started with the executive and then with the lower legislative position. he's clearly had guts because of his family name, it's obvious.

Well just do not vote for the ones you are not comfortable with. I think that is what you should do when voting. Anyway I know bam Aquino is already a social entrepreneur, I think he works in a private NGO that helps the poor to have a business of their own by teaching them to become entrepreneurs themselves. So you can see what would be his agenda when the campaigns starts to push through. So I do hope he could really help and not just bunking on his face being very close to the late Sen. Aquino his Grandfather and to his Uncle who is the president. So for now I will have to see from the final list of senators who is who and who deserves to win.

how time flies and its election time again next year. =) i think we should just stick with the 6 year service of ALL the seats so we are spared with the expenses this election is costing us every 3 years!! its just too much to bear already.

Hello CHiyosan, Yes it's been two years and now another election is coming. I bet we are going to get shock if it's going to be 2016 after this election. well, i rarely hear them make good law sign and the cyber crime law is made when the other law such as RH Bill and FOI bill act isn't even enacted. i feel sorry for our nation

Since we're in democratic form of government,it's not just practical but voting is the right thing to do. I don't know if it can be considered a flaw in the system but given our cultural differences as well as the challenge of reaching the voters residing in the the more than 7000 islands around us, politicians running for national elections are left with no recourse but turn to the media to introduce themselves. Right now, the easiest way to introduce oneself is to be a descendant of another politician because whether we like or not, people are more likely to vote for a candidate whose related to someone rather one somebody they haven't heard of. I can't really pass judgement to all the candidates who owe their popularity to their last names since they haven't shown anything to prove their worth yet. We won't know until after their performance but a lot shows potential. Personally I don't have anything against people running for public office coming from political dynasties. As long as they perform well and have the people's interest at heart. If they don't perform well, that's enough reason for people not to vote for them.

Hello ybong, yeah I guess you have a point of us voting as the only right thing and democratic method of electing the best for the country. i don't know what can they do but some of them are new and no record to speak of. i don't want to judge them now either, but of course, you have to look those who have records already

Hi. There is one thing that comes to my mind for the coming election. I would be very busy by that time. We will be required for a 24 hours monitoring. Well, that's life. But not busier than COMELEC perhaps. They are the busiest person during that day. Have a nice day!

Hello Aries1973, yes they are the busiest, and it's annoying to see these late comers trying to register at a later date. for all I know, they should have registered a bit early. well, good luck for your job there, never quit. it's hard to look for a job these days. have a nice day.
