Is it me, or does myLot seem to be a lot less active now?
I remember there was a time when there were so many discussions, and so many responses to everything.
All I seem to see now is topic after topic of empty replies, or just 1 or 2 replies.
The spark seems to have gone out of myLot, but that makes me a little sad. Anybody else think the same?

Yes that is true ! Friends in Mylot chooses which to respond. It depends upon in the topic that you raise. Things related to internet ,Mylot .com are the favorite most of the people here. Also adult topic are also favorite of some members. Just like yestrday i made , Only 3 joins in a discussion and i am not frustrated , that is how it is here . No worries then just kept on writing and join discussions made by other member.

Angelpink, good point. It depends a lot about the interest that you post. A lot of the discussion notifications that I have gotten from friends lately have been related to things that have not interested me that much. It just depends upon your interests, and sometimes those interests will vary by your mood on that day.
I definitely know that mariaperalta, and a few other friends have been very active with posting new discussions. They seem to regularly post discussions. I think part of it just depends on whether you are in a mood for posting your own discussion or reponding to others discussions.
Yesterday, I went through my inbox, and took care of all of my notifications. Not alot of discussions that I was notified interested me, and I really was not in a mood for looking for new discussions to respond to on myLot. Today is different. I saw the myLot tab was active so I thought I'd poke my head into see what was going on today.

It depends on the topic and the quality of the discussion that people start. If you start something which is very interesting, then I am sure, within no time your discussion would have loads of responses coming your way.
If it is a boring thing, or if it is just a question and answer sort of a thing or a doubt or something, then it is so obvious that you would get only 1 or 2 responses. That is also because, the person who would've responded would have already served the purpose of the discussion and there is no point in telling the same thing again and again unless there is something to add on to it.

I would also add that if the discussion is posed as a yes or no type of question most experienced myLot members will avoid this discussion due to it not following the myLot guidelines. Many of us know that there is a good chance the question will get deleted so there is not much point to post to it.

Empty replies? What are they?
Do you mean like those on this topic where others respond and receive no comments from the user who started what should have been a discussion?
My notifiers are just as busy as always with many new topics daily and I can't keep up with the chains of comments on both my own topics and those where I have left a response and others have commented.
I guess you are looking in the wrong places or looking for the wrong things

Seems I have a lot to catch up with.
If I can stop coughing I am back tonormal. It is hanging about though but I guess by the week-end I will be as fit as a fiddle again

mysdianait, take it easy. Maybe you could use some chicken soup. Well, I guess myLot can also be chicken soup for the soul too! We are all patient, and will wait for you to get caught up with your replies.

No I think that there are quite a few discussions. Lately I actually got quite a few responses to some of the discussions I started. If there are some disucssions with no replies it could be that the topic is not interesting or well described. The main part which is inactive here when compared to before is the tasks section.

I don't think Mylot is less active than before. I have been active for the last four months and have seen a lot of people participating in a lot of discussions. Well there would be few responses on a not-so-interesting topic. But that is just the way it is, right?

I've been noticing that as well. Some days will be really active and others, not so much. I also haven't seen a bunch of the older members who used to be really active here. There are still quite a few that are consistent and still myLot, but then there are other members who I wonder what happened to because I haven't seen them here in a while.
Maybe people are just starting to get busier because of the upcoming holidays. I hope things start to pick up again soon.

oh i think i noticed that too.. mylot is not as active as it was before.. it sure does look as though everyone was so busy with their life and they are not able to be online for mylot and online stuffs. he he hmm the spark has not gone out for me with mylot.. sometimes though i feel kind of not in the mood and i am just in a lurker mode, trying to see what i can answer, what ideas i can share, etc...

hi carbven I have one with 22 one with more a nd all with m ore than ten I would say thats active. maybe not the blockbuster discussions you wish but some liked them enough to respond to them. check the lamb he is active again and lots of us are here a lot so no I d o not see it as inactive unless its only certain people you are looking for.as for no response a lot of them are rule breakers and us
older ones have learned we lose earnings on rule breakers if we respond. I do not
think the spark has gone out of mylot at least not around my friends here. I have made more discussions lately than in a long time lol.end of the month and wanting to make payoff.

I have observed it too.
I am not sure why there's few mylottes coming online these past few days.
I understand that some mylotters from the US are experiencing power outage due to the hurricane- maybe that is one reason why there are few members coming online.

I have noticed that as well. There are less new discussions posted and even lesser quality ones! Some of the active members may just be busy and hopefully they find time soon to come back here in myLot.
