Why the Walk in Job Interviews always fails?

Today i happened to attend one of the walk in interview for a reputed banking firm over here. They have post full page advertisement in leading Newspapers for several days. To my surprise when i reached over the place, i came to know that venue has been changed without prior information. From one of the staff i came to know that the old venue was not sufficient to accommodate thousands of candidates like me. We all were bound to wait outside the hot sun for many hours as the main hall was full. Some how i managed to get in to the hall after waiting for a long time. Inside the hall it was like a mess. There were only three staffs to manage these many candidates. After some time there came an announcement that today they are only collecting resumes and asked us to drop our resumes over the boxes and to leave the hall. I am wondering why a reputed firm is poorly conducting an Walk in interview. Why they have fail to foresight things? Do you also have a similar experience to share.

Do not feel so sorry for yourself for you are not the only one who were experienced that. I also experienced that before. I always went home failed in both exams and interviews that I attended. There came to the point also that I made my resumes as a flyers to different companies hoping that one of those companies will accept me and will notice my most promising resume.lol

thankfully, I haven't experienced that. Most of the places I applied for don't have that many applicants. I usually send an email application to the company but won't wait for their call anyway, i still walk in.

Happy to heard that you haven't gone through this pathetic situation. The walk in interview was for a highly reputed firm over here. I am still wondering what went on wrong. I am trying to forget about what has happened.

Anyway, from where are you? the mess situation is like Philippines. Don't lose hope, you can find another. It's just a test for your patience on how will you handle it and control it. Just go with the flow and everything will just follow, believe me. God bless for incoming interviews, just do your best and be your self. Good luck ! :)

I am working here in Dubai. Ya they have highly tested my patience and it was out of control. I am taking it as an experience. Past is past. Let's hope everything will be all right very soon.

I'm not sure if I would work at a place like that... because if they conduct a session of interviews in such an atrocious way, how do they behave towards their employees? Sudden overtime work, sudden firing? I can see that. Especially a reputed company... can't they actually estimate how many people would come and whether the building is sufficient for having the many people together in them? I mean, they could have just asked the resumés via e-mail for an advanced filter, or call the people in for 4 or 5 days instead of one.

I am also agreeing with you. I think the mangers over there are less organised or they became very lazy because of the over pay. They said they will call me on coming days for the second round of interview. I am now thinking whether i need to go for the interview of such a disorganized company.

Oh is it sad. i think the people working there are not so professionals. They will spoil the name of the company like this. Nowadays people do not know the jobs but are there sitting in the offices. there should be some decency, i see it that it was organised at all. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Yes of course, the employees like these will surely spoil the brand image. It is a reputed firm over here. Now this interview incident will spread all over and surely it is going to affect company's business.
