Now that Obama has been reelected, Obamacare is starting to take a toll

With no hope for repeal of Obamacare, the consequences are starting. Pappa Johns in addition to having to raise prices is going to cut back on the hours of employees because of Obamacare. Several other restaurant chains are doing that and/or other things like laying people off, not hiring, etc. Of course everyone's taxes will go(or have gone) up because of Obamacare. Next year, 2013, the medical expense tax deductions changes from being able to deduct the amount of expenses that are above 7.5% of ones income to 10%. Then there is the fact that it is taking billions of dollars from Medicare which will cause problems there. What will be his next grand social scheme that will harm America?

150,000 layoffs in the first 48 hours after election. I heard on the news this morning Obama has proposed on average 98 regulations per day the past 90 days. You can say it is companies greed all you want, but the business owners invested THEIR time, THEIR money and THEIR knowledge into these businesses and have just as much right to profit as their employers have to a wage and benefits. There is only so much a business can do for their employees. And apparently many have reached the limit. IF Obama had LISTENED to the Republicans during the talks on this bill instead of locking them out and telling them "I won", maybe we could have had a healthcare reform bill that actually did make things better for all.

Well, this is apparently what Americans wanted!?!?!?!?!?! Too bad my one little vote did not matter because he would have been OUT if it was up to me... But it wasn't. Now the rest of us get to suffer from this jerk! If this world lasts the next 4 years (if the moron doesn't destroy it completely) I will be SO happy when he is GONE!

..."what will harm America" is the key thing.. After all, it's his father's dream to bring the U.S. low so we are more equal to poor nations.. It doesn't matter if nations are poor because their government is stifling, or anything like that, it's just making all 'equal' but unlike the traditional America which would lke to make all equal in abundance, I'm afraid now it is to be the other, all equal in poverty.. except for the leaders of nations, of course..

Check out my old posts and you will see I posted about this and how it effects our home life. My husbands job has increase because of Obama-care. They have passed it along to us to the song of doubling our weekly insurance payments. They also made it clear there will be no cost of living raise to help cover the costs of the insurance.

I usually don't get into politics in any kind of discussion cause it usually brings people in defense of either candidate, as if I'm not allowed to express my feelings about what I think. In my family as well but thats is nothing new with them, especially my mother who has to defend anything I say about anything in general and expects me to support her in everything she says. But, I have been hearing about these soon to be lay offs and other consequences after Obama got relected and am not gonna say I told you so cause i didn't vote. I didn't vote cause either candidate was a poor choice for our President. I'm not even sure which was worse in fact. We are doomed no matter who won this year. Can't we vote on who actually runs for President, instead of giving us just two choices from who knows who for whatever reason?

You should have wrote in some one instead of not voting. It wouldn't have turned anything around but the more people who do this the more likely we are to get a candidate that is not a republican or democrat.

Wow someone else that believes this administration is not doing good for the economy. I've been reading about the massive layoffs and here's one link http://www.beaufortobserver.net/Articles-NEWS-and-COMMENTARY-c-2012-11-09-263698.112112-Massive-layoffs-as-ObamaCare-looms.html Sometimes there are lay offs due to the holidays, but there are a lot there are going to be permanent. It's very sad to see this close to the holidays.

I only heard there are more social security taxes to be taken out in 2013. All because in 2010 less taxes were taken out to try and stimilus the economy. Now that is ending. I have not heard any of the stuff you just mentioned. It won't happen to me. I have been at the same job for 11 years and get inurance through work. The last two years it has not gone up and next year the cost is going down! So I am not worried! At least not until 2020 when it ges into effect!

Since I'm not an American citizen it's hard for me to say if this is right. What I DO know is that we have something similar back in Holland (I moved 6 years ago because I didn't want to live in the Western world any longer) an it works very well. Every citizen has an insurance. Would that not be the case it would cost much more money in the long run.
And do companies really have to fire people? Or is it that they don't want to lose some money on the big amounts they already make? There's always two sides on a story.....
