"I'm not anymore as healthy as before." That is what I notice to myself. They said when you've been to an operation, like in my case, appendix, you will usually gain weight. But for me, until now, instead of gaining, I'm losing weight and became more prone to sickness. My food appetite is not anymore the same as before. Sometimes I eat a lot but most of the time I eat less amount only because I easily get full. I don't know why my appetite is like this. I missed those times when I crave for food and always eat. Sometimes after meal, I would still open the fridge and look for something to eat again. I don't know if this also concerns with the kind of work that I have right now. And because of losing my appetite, now it also affects my health. Can you gave me some tips on how to gain back my weight? Thanks mylotters.

There are gastrointestinal hormones that regulate appetite. If the levels of these hormones is incorrect it could cause loss of appetite. Also, I read that this type of operation can cause appetite loss but that it will come back after a while. Here are some links that will (hopefully) help you get your appetite back www.livestrong.com/article/134212-home-remedies-loss-appetite/ and www.digherbs.com/loss-of-appetite.html There are also links on how to gain weight in this discussion, response#4 www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2720015.aspx I hope you find some help in these links. Good luck.

I hope so. You really need to pick up your appetite. I get like that sometimes. In my case it's depression but doesn't last long. Yours could be related to something else. Thanks for commenting! I do appreciate it. Hope you are well.

Losing appetite is not good for the health at all. It is a sign of some defect physically. There can be many different reasons for that. I would say the best would be to consult your family doctor.

Well, it might be that at times your stomach is not clear, or things like bloating or acidity might be affecting it, so you might be feeling less hungry. At other times, your system might be better, so you might be feeling more hungry. First, try to keep your meal times regular, and have good amount of fruits, nuts and fibres. These make us feel satisfied, and also provide body with energy and proper nutrition. If still things do not improve, consult your doctor.

ALMOST everyone has loss of appetite. And this situation is not always caused by a serious problem. Falling in love, for example, could also be one of the triggers. If you lose your appetite because of illness. it has a serious problem. But for whatever reason, you need to restore your appetite for health care. How? There are some things we can do to improve appetite after falling ill .. If you've lost your appetite for more than two weeks, try to increase the intake of foods rich in iron, magnesium and potassium. In addition, you also need to eat foods that contain vitamin B and C each day. This vitamin can not be stored for long periods in the body and need to be updated regularly. Try to eat five to six small meals. Small portions will make you less bored. Also, make sure the food is made ??up of complex carbohydrates, such as pasta, bread, potatoes, rice and noodles. If possible, make sure your breakfast, though only a smoothie or a piece of fruit like a banana. This is a good first step and provide the energy you need to face the day. What about fiber-rich foods? Although fiber-rich foods are an essential part of the diet, these foods will trigger flatulence if you already do not eat regularly for some time.
