Religion is belief system by which a man expresses his strong faith in God and binds himself to God. While accepting this process he accepts a particular community and expresses his faith through the community. When a man belongs to a community he has some mandate to observe which we call as the religious practices. Man observes certain laws pertaing to God and the Community. Psychology is a science of the mind which analyses the human behaviour and interpretes the actions and the motivations of man. The religion and the psychology are distinct yet they are interelated. Human mind has been affected by the religion. Many times his psychological and pathological conditions find their root in the religion he practices. Man is the likeness and the image of God. He carries within himself the divine elements too. By nature man get attracted to the Divine. Man always transmits to others his lived experience and convolves them in his belief system. Today man may discard every religion and seek his encounter with God all by himself. But he needs someone to initiate him, nourish him and direct him otherwise he may lose his mental balance.
