Do you change the names of your friends for fun?

We have a stragne habit with my friends, when we call each other, we use different variations of our first names! We change the last part or even add a short word at the end, or we use the international versions of our names. It's a fun thing that we have been doing for a couple of years now! Do you have any unique and fun things that you do with your friends and no one else understands?

Back in high school we used to be writing in codes so that no one could know about what were talking about even if they see our letters or notes for each of the members of our group. It was really fun receiving a real long letter with using the codes. I even used it in writing love letters to my boyfriend.

Do you still remember that code? I have a box at home and I have kept some memories from my high school friends! There are letters, little gifts, pictures etc from that time and it is nice to have something and remember all the good times from back then!

Oh yes! I know the code by heart! It isn't really that hard to get used to it. I have kept old letters from high school. I would sometimes read them when I come visit my mom. I left it there when I moved out and got married.

Oh yeah we used to have alias to each others that we use every time we see each others where other people don't understand.Quite fun and enjoy.Some people we know who used to hear it also used it now too when calling us.

Yes I know, some people hear the nicknames and they use them too, but it's weird because they are not familiar with the joke and they don't know where the name came from!
So it sounds strange to me if I listen someone else outside our friend group to call me with a nickname!

Hello besweet, I don't know but friends calling names is another level of being close to the person. but there are calling names when it comes to school sometimes because of bullying. it depends on the person is close that if they don't want it or not. well, it's a good name to remember to have friends talking to each other.

We are adults now but it's still fun to change our names! We usually think about fun nicknames based on our full names, we don't try to make fun in a bad way! They are usually cute and funny and I am always waiting for my friends to see what they will call me next time!
I know that itt might sound immature but it's our "thing" and we enjoy it!

i had an officemate named julie. i started calling her july. but when everyone started calling her july, i stopped. through the years, family members, friends and officemates have also given me variations of my nickname and i have a list of them.

That sounds great! My name is difficult to change and I haven't found any better versions so far! This also happened to my friend, her name is Nicki and we started calling her Nicole, so now she likes that more and she introduces herself like that!
Another friend's name is Kathrine, but we are calling her Zeta for the past 2 years (from Kathrine Zeta Jones).
