Hi, It may sound very silly, but i really don't know the correct way to make coffee. Very recently i ordered coffee for myself as along with coffee i got good coffee mug free, frankly i ordered coffee because i loved that coffee mug (lol) I tell you i got three packs of coffee which consist of: 1. Mild and mellow 2. Strong yet balanced 3. Full bodies extra Strong From above i tried mild and mellow, the coffee taste is very good, but this is not instant coffee like NESCAFE the one for which we don't need strainer it and it get mixed very easily. The one i bought is like tea, granular form and we need strainer filter. I have made exactly same way, like i make tea but i don't know whether that is correct way, i also check coffee machine, i have not ordered that as was not sure as how to operate that. I am very sure that here in mylot i get good information as how to make coffee in best way. Thanks in advance. Good day. Nov 12, 2012.

yes, i liked your idea of mixing milk powder and coffee powder together. After reading, i thought why not make sugar powder also, and mix in above two powders and then add boiling milk. I will surely try your way, and get back to you, for the result. Thanks friend :)

If it is instant coffee then what I do is take half cup milk and half cup water and boil it. Put of the flame off after it is boiled and add one teaspoon of instant coffee and sugar to taste.

I guess its not instant, they mentioned on back of pack as filter coffee. How long it is good to boil the coffee. The best thing which i liked about this coffee i don't feel acidic, as earlier in instant i use to feel lots of activity. Funny thing, i feel sleepy after drinking this coffee, but very much enjoyed aroma and taste. Whether coffee helps us to sleep fast?? I thought different way before drinking this coffee. I checked with my dad whether he feels sleepy, dad felt the same. lol

The coffee should be ground to medium fineness (or 'suitable for all coffee makers'). Use one heaped dessert spoon or soup spoon of coffee per cup and place in a filter or in a cafetiere. Bring enough water to the boil and allow it to cool for 30 seconds (the water should not be quite boiling). Pour the water onto the coffee in the filter and allow it to drip through or, if you are using a cafetiere, pour the water onto the coffee in the cafetiere and stir; wait 3 to 4 minutes before pushing down the plunger. You may want more or less coffee per cup, according to taste. If you like milk or cream with coffee, it is usual to add it after serving the coffee.

If you are using a coffee filter (a cone with paper inserts), you do not want the coffee ground too fine or it will clog the filter and the water will not run through. Coffee suitable for a filter or for a cafetiere is 'medium ground'. Coffee suitable for an espresso coffee machine or for a stovetop coffee maker (which sends steam from the bottom compartment through coffee in the top compartment and then draws it back down to the bottom because of the vaccuum created) needs to be finely ground. Coffee can also be made in a small saucepan on the stove top by putting coffee and COLD water in the saucepan and heating until just below boiling point, then allowing to stand for two to three minutes. You will need to strain the coffee before serving, so you will probably need a slightly coarser grind than you will get in most cans of ground coffee.

Hello Sir, (thumbup) I don't have coffee maker, i use cooking gas for making coffee. As you said, in last para, i make coffee in small saucepan on the stove top. I followed very same way, the way you mentioned(first step), but skipped the second step as allow to stand for 2-3 minutes, now i got, i will try the way you told. after that strain the coffee and then add hot milk, will try this way. After reading all the above, i got it as no need to boil coffee as the method i used i felt little sour taste, may be boiled more or added more quantity of coffee powder.

I am very much addicted to coffee, drinking four or five cups a day starting from breakfast time. But, I would't say I am a good coffee maker. I have been taking the 3-in-1 coffee packs. They are very good, very tasty, of course. Sorry, I could not help you in coffee making.

I understand. But your are drinking four or five cups daily, so, if you are making tea of your own way, i still expect few tips from you. BTW how you make your coffee?

Hello Life :) Even I don't know how to make coffee.. But still I love cold coffee. Me and my cousin were used to stay in his apartment, at that time we tried to make cold coffee one day.. And the good part was we both didn't know how to made it. So we take cold milk, add sugar in it and add coffee from nescafe pouch.. Than we just took that mixture in two glass and shake them. That's it. I don't know if that was the proper way but we enjoyed it.. Well, the above procedure is not intend for education , it was just my happy memory.. Try at own risk.

Hi Anand, Happy Diwali to you and your family. I really liked your way to making coffee, you know my besr friend love cold things very much, so one day when she visited my place, that time i did experiment to make cold coffee (very first time), i used the above process you mentioned, but i did that in mixer grinder, first added ice, first only ice is crushed, when ice crushed in small particles, i added coffee, sugar, milk and mixed in mixer till i was able to seem lot of cream on the surface. It turned out really testy.

Since most of the time I use instant coffee I cannot really tell the difference to taste with freshly brewed coffee. Some even make coffee out of toasted rice grains. There are many types of ready mixes of coffee and I usually try them to balance the coffee I made because my coffee does not always turn out great.

The one i ordered is not instant coffee, but taste and aroma of coffee is very good and even i don't feel acidic, as i faced problem in instant coffee. Today i tried based on replies i got in this discussion and it tasted very good and very much enjoyed.

I have the same problem when people make me tea and its just not done right! I think that the cup you put the tea or coffee in also makes a difference, maybe not in how it tastes but the rate at which it cools there is a particular temperature at which hot drinks taste their best and some cups let the heat go too quickly. Is there no instructions on the packet, usually it is one generous scoop of coffee into your coffee filter with the plunger if you know which one I mean. that is how I make the coffee that we got from Tim Horten's I think it was from Canada, that way you get the flavour from the coffee but not lots of bits in it. The plunger filter is an elongated glass chamber with a metallic rod attached to an internal seive plunger, if you aren't familiar with it but that seems to work for me,though timing when you squish down the plunger is also key to a good cup of coffee.

I completely understand you as i am very very choosy in terms of cup selection. I have good collection of mugs for tea and coffee and i always prefer to drink in my selected cups. I agree the cup in which we drink tea, makes great difference to tea or coffee. I check instruction, but that were do and don't, not the process (steps) as how to make. The last para you mentioned, i am not familiar with that process. I tried making coffee in cooking gas. (i don't have tea or coffee maker)

make Coffee - How to make Coffee
It must be admitted that a copy of the best quality when it is not accompanied by the correct way to make coffee the coffee quality will be the same as having low quality coffee. How to make coffee should be tailored to the type of coffee itself and also should consider what type of servings of coffee to be made. I make coffee with secret techniques, LOL, try it if you want to prove it: Put coffee grounds in the coffee filter. Fill only half full while pressed - press so dense Place strainer over the cup, and then pour the water until the filter is full. Fill it with water when the amount of water in the filter is starting to look less. The water that comes out of coffee dropwise such that the so-called coffee extract. Okay, You now ready to dirink coffee.

I completely agree with first sentences. I checked coffee pack, the method of preparation is not mentioned, only general instruction and do and don't as how to store the coffee. I don't have any coffee filter, Manuel or electronic coffee maker, i am making on cooking gas stove, i don't know its right to make coffee on cooking gas stove!.
