These days, I'm reading a book I was loaned by a Catholic nun. The title is
"Jesus, Master of prayer"
The book is not very long, it has 170 pages. At the moment I have come to the 40th page.
There is a paragraph That to me has profoundly impressed, it is called:
- The five demons that threaten the psyche -
William Parker, a psychologist, found just these five weaknesses in the human psyche.
- hate
- fear
- sense of guilt
- senses of inferiority
- the victimhood
These sicknesses, when we torment, they will also affect the physical and have deleterious effects on our body.
It therefore comes to mental depression, anxiety, psychosomatic disorders, etc..
Us until we go to the root of such sicknesses, it is useless to waste time treating the symptoms.
A separate chapter of the book also mentions shipments by other ills that "attack the spirit."
Some of you, like me, believes that he has within itself one or more of these "demons of the psyche"?

I must say that I have never read this book, but it sounds very interesting. I also must agree that these 5 "demons" can lead to our bodies becoming ill. Some believe that when we have unforgiveness and things like that in our hearts it can actually lead to cancer and other destructive diseases. Not sure what I think on this matter!

Hi,
I agree that five demons hate - fear - sense of guilt - senses of inferiority - the victimhood affect our mental health badly. For overcoming all these bad things we should try to develop love, courage, self confidence in our heart. We should be very positive while struggling in our life. We should trust on ourselves. And we should try to make our life happy patiently. we should have inner peace. No one is perfect but we should try to avoid bad things to enter in our body.
