Recalling? Or illusion?

Its a philosophical doubt. Why do our mind sometimes think that we have came across the same thing that we experience or see now? I always wanted an answer to this question!

I think you might have old memories which comes out in this form

Are you talking about deja vu which is the feeling that you have been through or done something before that you are doing right now but the "memory" is fuzzy and in reality it could not have happened before? If that's what you mean, I have no answers and I don't think anyone truly knows, although there are lots of theories.
