Bought a new set of clothes for a growing baby

Our baby is now 5months old, and she has outgrown the first set of clothes we bought her. She also needs a new set, since those old clothes are designed for newborn. I always love shopping for baby stuff. Now, she's more comfortable with the loose fit of the new clothes. Next weekend, we'll be buying a walker and solid food for her, too.

We are lucky that we have other people in the family that have boy's not that much older then my own so we don't really have to buy any clothes for JD at all right now. He is almost into the 3 to 6 months clothes and a lot of clothes I kept from having my daughter that was gender natural. My husbands sister's son is 3 months older then my son so he is going to 6 months and wears pretty much 9 month clothes so she just gives me the clothes that she has that he can't fit into any more as well as diapers.

You are lucky! I will accept any preloved items for my baby, if there are any. But, we don't have too many friends and no relatives have babies lately.

Yeah we always do hand me downs even when there is years apart. Some the hand me downs I don't like so I sell them back to a store because I know someone else will like them. I try to buy clothes on sale.

That's really good for you. I wish I had family or relatives who could do the same. Actually, I just remembered, there's one cousin whose daughter just turned 1 year. But, Im too embarrassed to ask for her outgrown clothes, coz we don't talk often anymore.

the internet is really a great tool to buy and sell secondhand but still presentable clothes as long as you're open to it, especially since babies only wear them for a few months. few years ago, my sister was emptying the cabinets in my parent's bedroom and found plastic bags of yellowing baby clothes. it seems everyone had forgotten all about them, so they washed it and added it to the garage sale we had. one gradeschooler passing by wanted to buy something for her newborn sibling. we felt sorry for her so we gave her more than what she could pay us.

Oh, that's so sweet. It's nice of you to give the kid a good package for her baby sister. You're right, the used clothes I got before were really still in good condition. Most of it were worn only 1-2 times. I didn't buy too many clothes for 1-4 months because I know we won't be taking her out that often just yet. I bought more clothes for 6months up.

have you filtered the best clothes in the store and bought only the elegant thing for him because you always need to choose the comfort cloth for the newborns

I was just shopping for clothes she can wear at home. I've already bought her a few fancy clothes for going out, and I got clothes for different age because I know she'd grow fast. So, I got clothes for 6mos, 9mos, and 12 mos.

Happy to hear that she's healthy and growing! It must be an exciting time to see her make so many changes! My sister has two children and she always says that the used clothes for 6 months to 1 year are always very cute and in good condition. Once they start walking, the clothes get dirty very easily! If you have clothes swaps, you might be able to find some nice stuff for her :)

That's right, and I try to keep it in good condition so I can resell it. I have bought preloved clothes, too, from ebay and they're all still very good as new.
