Well, as i said my tummy begun to grow big...bloated then many of my neighbors said i should wear black dress or black undies. I should not go out side at night for i smell so sweet to the monsters who love pregnant women to eat... and this intrigue me a lot honestly, my rooms was decorated will bamboos and thorns. My granny always burn rubber at night. then many of our neighbor said that they have seen a big bat at my ceiling last night and they heard weird noises. WHOA....I was really amazed for i really didn't notice it. Then they said that the baby of my other neighbor 2 blocks away from was eaten and it is dead. OH no...no...so i said isn't that true or wild imagination? though i cannot foretell that there are many mystery in life and what do you think, is that included?

That is not true, not at all, sounds like an old wives tale. I have had 2 children worked while pregnant with both of them out in the public, I have never hidden myself away because I am pregnant. Honestly onto worry yourself, people shouldn't be trying to scare you, you're doing an amazing thing carrying a child that should be a joyful experience not a worrying one. I can guarantee you it's not true, so,start enjoying your growing tummy and look forward to the amazing birth of your child. Lastly congratulations.

How can you believe such 'BS' like that, which kind of neighbor do you have. I ean if a neighbor like that have time to loose just to tell you some nonesense, I don't think that even talking and answering them worth something. You sure have to be careful of maniac that does serial killing thoug, hopefully it is not your neighbor just for your protection, I would be on my guard.

I have never heard of those wives tales but from what you have said, I think maybe they are just wanting you to be careful! Sometimes people believe all the myths and superstitions and worrying about them makes more problems. Don't worry so much about what everyone tells you, worry more about taking good care of yourself!

Old folks tale. I don't believe and never believed with those gossips/rumors. There is no evidence that those monsters ever exist.

Monster that eats babies? Seems legit to me :) Although I don't know how wearing black undies under your black dress will matter Won't a black dress hide any color undies?

They said it will hide the smell of the baby. For pregnant women smell so sweet to them so, pregnant women should wear black.

A very good question. It is very hard to say weather to believe in them or not.Every region, religion has their stories. You know there can be no smoke without fire so their may be a little iota of truth.Well you have all the right to defy them.I really think it is your opinion and choice. If you feel you would like to take all precaution then do but only if u believe in them otherwise forget them.I did a few ones when i has my baby only because i was scared that something will go wrong.I did because i chose to.There is no reason why you should not let your elders do what they want. All the best to u.

When I got pregnant, I got also scared from those stories. I guess it wasn't true. I was able to give birth to a healthy baby boy. There's no harm in being careful though. May you enjoy your pregnancy. Listen to some classical music for your child's development. Eat nutritious food. Eat less carbs and more on vegies and fruits. Goodluck. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

Magz, I ever heard many types of tales from my mother and grandmother about pregnant ladies, I don't really able to accept them all. I think taking good care of our health is the most important things during pregnancy. Have enough eat and drink. Always get enough rest and rest in a proper way. Even it is better not to carry things that are too heavy, throughout pregnancy time. Congratulate to you and hope you will born alovely baby when the time arrive.

Well, that seemed to be coming from old folks believing in the existence of "tiktik". I do not know if I believe in them coz first of all we live in this time and I think that it just so impossible to be thinking about it. But for your peace of mind, keep safe always.

It's imagination and all in their head. For those who believe in it, will act the way they think it will go (believe in). So it will happen. Each culture, each country, has it's own stories about pregnant women, babies, what you might attract or not. What will happen if you sit with your legs crossed, if you feel the need to eat .. or ... etc etc. We call it (only know the dutch word) Baker (stories). The only thing they have in common is that these are old stories, made up, might be interesting to hunt for it's history. If you see everything in perspect you know there is nothing to be afraid of. Just enjoy your pregancy.

Of course, it's not the truth you know. You just heard the story that the baby next door was eaten by the monster, so have you ever clarified it with your own eyes? You are just so scared about it and your precioous your baby so much, so you are inclined to believe the superstitious story when the mystery coverd your eyes from the truth. You just need to make sure by yourself whether it is ture about the baby next door or not. Just to believe in science and you will make sure yourself that such kind of stories are just pure wild imagination.

i`m not a believer of such things.. maybe because since birth i`m already living in a city.. i only got to know about that in movies.. it`s popular in the provinces.. but if you are worried about that all creepy creatures then take all the safety precautions that the elders are telling you...

LOL XD All I can say is folktales! haha, For me, it's all imagination maybe your imagination or their imagination. Sometimes this kind of story are use to scare someone, maybe they don't want you to come outside at night. Maybe to protect you or they care for your baby's health. I suggest you to don't believe them and stay healthy for your baby. :)
