Food For Thought Regarding Health

I've been reading lately. I've started to do cardiovascular exercises after a long time that's why I've stumbled upon some material concerning these stuff. I found out that there are two types of fat that you need to know: Subcutaneous Fat - fat under the skin Visceral Fat - fat that wraps around your internal organs Knowing these two types of fat, now you need to know about these types of cardio exercises: Aerobic - exercise that uses oxygen Anaerobic - exercise without oxygen If you do aerobic exercises (e.g. jogging, fast-walking) you burn mostly subcutaneous fat. If you do anaerobic exercises (e.g. basketball, boxing, sprinting), you burn both types, but mostly visceral fat. Although, this doesn't mean that aerobic exercises is better if you wanna go thin. Anaerobic exercises burn more subcutaneous fat than aerobic exercises. Sound confusing? Follow this: For example: for 30 minutes of jogging, you burn 100 calories from fat for 30 minutes of sprinting, you burn 150 calories from fat... and that's only about 10% of the total calories that you burned including visceral fat. I don't know if you're into this but this definitely enlightened me a lot. I know that anaerobic exercises are really hard since it raises your heart beat to 70% to 90% of your maximum heart rate, but the thing is you don't need to do it that long compared to aerobic exercises, which requires you hours of your time in order for you to burn enough calories for you to lose some pounds. I'm not sure if you learned something here, but to put it simply, I'd rather run for 30 minutes than jog for 2 hours.

Well, not really all of the calories. Of course, you need an amount of it. You only need to burn as much as 500 calories a day, approximately. This is considered the healthiest way to lose weight.

This sounds interesting huh. Well- I am also doing the cardiovascular exercises. Maybe I will try the sprinting later- I still need to condition myself especially my heart for this activity (whew)

I'm sure you can do high intensity workouts already. You only need to start slow, and then gradually turn it up once it gets too easy for you. The key is to elevate your heart rate and keep it there for as long as you can.
