Long time ago my husband registered a .com domain name with four letters only. Perhaps it is not easy to find short domain name today. And some time ago he got an email and it was an inquiry of buying his domain name. My husband asked me to quote us $1,000,000 and I did so. I thought he might be teasing anyway. And after that he hasn't got the reply yet. Perhaps our price is just so high

If you have a .com with only letters then it must be very old indeed, I believe that every possible 4 letter permutation was registered years ago. Of course the value would depend on the actual letters and what they could represent, but $1000000 is a seriously high figure and does sound quite unlikely. There would be very few companies or individuals that would consider that level of outlay for a domain, so if the request to buy was genuine I cannot see that figure being even considered.

Perhaps I shall wait for a long time so that in the future the four letters domain name will be much more precious

One Million? OMG... Imagine if the inquirer had responded and said yes, you'd be rich beyond your wildest dreams, now tell me would you still be on Mylot if you were handed one million! I have only dabbled once in buying my own domain name, I bought it, or rented it cheaply from Godaddy, I just wanted it for free email, I am not entirely satisfied with Gmail, so I thought having my own personalized email address would look smart.

I think I would still be in Mylot even if I had so many money. As I have goal here and I want to be the one who will post the most

Well, I'm not sure how I'd go about borrowing $1,000,000 for a four letter domain name, as I don't have a farm in the west as security.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand that your husband must be feeling bad for loosing out the domain name. besides i think your husband should not have quoted a very high price for the domain acceptors would have felt that it was a very high price. I know your husband must have spent a lot of time to find out the four letter domain name and now i think he should spend more time to take wise decisions in the future so that he is not left disappointed like this time. What say?

I don't know whether my husband felt disappointed to it or not. But he told me that the four letters domain name is quite precious and perhaps he will not want to sell it easily

Hi friend, having our own domain is always good for us, we can sell it at any time as per our wish, but your amount is really very high. I don't have my own domain, but i have sub domain under webs.

Yes, perhaps my husband doesn't want to sell his domain name so that his quotation is quite high.
