but in the car I listen to the new country western music. I think it's because i love to sing along and I really can't understand the words of many popular song. At home i play smooth jazz, it's upbeat with no words and just keeps my energized doing house work. I like classical on low at night, we keep it going in the other room where the dog sleeps, that way she doesn't wake up barking to the outside noises. How do your choices break down?

I like different kinds of music as well. but country has never been my favorite. I like mostly rock music, some dance music, some jazz. I also like some of the old time big bands. Not that I listen to that all the time. I think that some of those songs would be awesome rock songs. I also like easy listening music when I am in a mellow mood. But most of all, I need music that I feel deep inside.

They seem to have long titles. I don't know. I am just not into country music. But they do sound funny.

I don't put music on as a background noise because if I do that I get involved with what I am doing and I simply do not hear it at all. I like to listen to songs with good words and tunes when I want to relax. As an older person I do not listen to pop songs, I can't relate to them any more, or really hear the words. They just sound like a lot of noise to me. I had to smile at the music for the dogs, 'music has charms to soothe the troubled beast!' I can see the sense of that, unfortunately my dogs live outside the house so it is not going to work for me. Perhaps when we get older we just cannot take the loud noise of pop music, I like a little classical music but not for too long. Country music is always a pleasure to listen to because the singers have good voices, the tunes are infectious and the words have something to say.

My b/f is a musician and he really keeps me on my toes where music is concerned. I never know what to expect when he says...hey...listen to this..lol. In the morning on the way to work I usually listen to whatever is on the radio. That is truly the only time I have right now to listen.

Right now I kind of stopped listening to music, but I do however extremely enjoy the House Music. I am now listening to more podcasts, watch movies and TV shows so I just didn't have enough time for music anymore. I like listening to some popular music. But it is strange that recently I didn't listen to music. Even I just talk on mylot, I want to be in a silence situation.

i am a music lover. i prefer classics. music from the past are more beautiful to listen to the those of today. sometimes i hear popular musics but i cant even understand the meaning and makes me wonder what made it popular, just like the "gangnam style". hahaha. classic love songs and ballads are more meaningful and i find it easy to relate to. today's music are more of shouting and screaming. sometimes i find it disturbing.

Hello! I listen to almost all times of music, except hard rock. I'm sorry to all the hard rockers out there, but it isn't just my kind of music. I listen to music randomly, whenever I feel like listening to music, anything goes. :) Because for me, music is like a mood booster. It can really lift my mood whenever I feel a bit down.

I listen to all kind of music too. I don't have any particular preferred genre and singer. I listen to music if i like them elody and the message of the song. I also listen to it if it reminds me of an event in my life. If I wanted to reminisce my past, I will listen to songs that were my favorite during that time. Songs like teenager of My chemical romance and here for you by lifehouse reminds me of my highschool life. When I'm energetic, I listen to upbeat songs or if I need cheering up. I also listen to inspirational song and worship songs especially during sundays.

I use to listen to music and would have it playing through out the house. I don't now have a music player anymore. I have asked for one, but it doesn't happen. I can't afford one myself. Sounds like you work the music so well with your life, that is great. It so works doesn't it.. :) I just hope your not like our neighbor that plays music so loud in their vehicle that it actually vibrates windows here and had a picture fall off the wall..

I also listen to all types of music.. I will listen to different types depending on how I am feeling at the time.. Sometimes it is easier to explain how I am feeling at the time is through a song.. Though the lyrics or the beat of the song.. I think if I didnt have music in my daily life I would go nuts..

It all depends. When I'm just in the mood for listening to music, I listen to quality pop, rock and alternative. In the mornings or on my way to school or work in the morning, I listen to upbeat songs, just to refresh me. In the nights, I kind of preparing myself for sleep, so I listen to mellow, slower songs at a lower volume. When I feel tranquil and content, I listen to nice ballads and country, when I'm angry, I'm listening to angsty rock songs, when I can shout the lyrics and get rid of my angry energies.

Music is my life. I can't live a single day without it. whatever genre it is, as long as I understand and appreciate the lyrics I 'am really going to listen it. It helps me forget my problem for awhile, it makes me smile and it change my bad mood into a good mood. I really love music.
