Why do we need two eyes?

I agree with achumethar, With one eye we can see 2D images and with 2 eyes we can see in 3D. That is why with 2 eye we understand the distance..

With two eyes, you can see both sides of your body. If you see with only one eye, it is not as convenient. Besides, all creatures are born with two eyes and humans are absolutely no exception. Thanks for the discussion.

It's all for safety, in my opinion. We need a larger-scale sight to notice things happening next to us, just not on one side or the other... especially cavemen needed this sight, because they were constantly in danger... huge winds, mammoths, other animals that could hurt them or their families...
