I learn recipe from internet, do you?

I learned to cook months ago.
Previously I know a little about how to cook. At that time I cooked for only myself. So I just cooked some vegetable, and some very simple food.
Now I cook for my husband and me. And I do not want eat same food frequently, so I have to learn more recipes. I learned from other housewife first, then I find another better way to learn from: the internet.
People share recipes on some professional website, most time with photos, it is more conveninent. I copy the processes, sometime add some my own ideas.
Do you learn recipe from website? If you are interested, try it. Or how you learn how to cook?

Normally I dont go to websites to learn about new dishes, The reason is simple - most of these ingredients are not available here oreven if they are, I need their local names in order to find them. As such I dont frequent out on recipie websites.
As for cooking, I love to experiment and this love has helped me make more dishes out of what I knew and what was regularly cooked in my family since I remember. And if I have to do something new by learning from others, I either ask them directly or even view the local shows (though this is rare as we dont have a tele at my place) that get aired on Tele.

It seems you have a lot experiment in cooking.
Asking people directly is good way, but today we do not know whom to ask, because we are more closed than before.
So internet recipes are more important at today's time.

when there is a specific recipe that i want to cook for my husband i look up to it in the internet.. its really convenient for us who cooks that there are lots of recipes available in the internet we get all the procedure and the ideas of how to cook something.. internet indeed is now a necessity.. it makes everything handy..^_^

I totally agree with you. Internet enables us a lot of choices.
I think I can not live without internet now, because I will not know how to go to a new place, how to cook a new dish, where to live in strange city...

Same here Neelia! My husband is Korean.At first, I had no idea how to cook Korean dish but when I discovered cooking videos at youtube, cooking Korean dish became as easy as a pie.

I am a very good cook, but I have joined as a member of several cook sites because I like to see how the dishes look. I`m at a point where I know how to make a dish, but I`m in search of more beauty.

Specially in the begining of Veganism I used the internet for everything about food, I didn't know we can get all nutrients in vegetal source. Now I'm getting a little better cause I tried recipes from all over the world and although I'm not a fan of cooking I want my baby to be healthy and the food to be delicious so I'm ALWAYS trying new recipes :D

Cook book is useful method too, and I have bought some.

I do.
If i want to do some experiments in my cooking, first thing i do, it to check internet with different types of methods of cooking.
I installed lot of cooking application in my android phone.
I tried couple of recipes and it turned out really well.
Recipes especially which are shared in blogs are really very good.

It did not turn out well, maybe you need more experiments. Some of my experiment failed too, but I just keep trying again till it succeed, haha

I just started to learn how to cook big meals a few months ago as well. My boyfriend is a chef so he slowly been teaching me how to cook. I get recipes off the internet and use those to cook some meals, I use pinterest and cooks.com for my recipes. Now I can't stop cooking I love it.

There's a lot of simple recipe on the net to learn.
You can also watch some from youtube- for a much hands-on information.
I do write some recipe for my blogs and other writing sites as well.

Nice and I know youtube is the best site to learn anything on net. Demo with ingredients. I know the cooking and if wants to make new dish then check in youtube.

The Internet has been a big help for me, being a new wife and struggling in the kitchen! There are even step by step videos and images on how is the dish supposed to look like whe it's done. I do appreciate my mom and mom in law helping me out with some recipes but of course there are times that I just can't help but feel like I'm interrupting them row bothering them whenever I have some cooking dilemma.

Yes, I like to learn more new recipes via the net. This is so convenient because you can find any kinds of dishes online. And it has photos with detailed instruction. You can cook it well if you follow it step by step. It also gives me inspirations to create some new dishes for myself.

I do looking for recipe in internet, especially if I feel bored with my daily menu
I usually copy the recipes and save in my computer folder if I need it again one day. I remember when I looking for original pancake recipe, but I did not know hwich one is original. I tried one of them and it did not work

I used to think that cooking is burden. Now I do think cooking is fun! Especially you want to eat something, you cook by yourself and according to your own taste. That's great achievement time!

Yes I learn a whole lot of recipes, from the internet there was this one dish, called spicy sausage dip, and it was good, but I used Turkey meat instead, and it came out great, you can use this when you having parties,we use this recipe at church, when we have anniversaries along with our other food we serve, I love getting my recipes off the internet.
