Urghh! Broken broom stick to wash the car porch floor...

Much cleaning for a new house - We need to do a lot of cleaning for a new house.

We bought a new house few months ago...and haven't got the time to wash our car porch floor yet. Recently our area rains very often, almost everyday due to the monsoon season. When it rains, the wind would blow the dusts from the floor and the dirt and dust smell would attached to our clean laundry sun to dry. This is really frustrating as it dirties the clothes we have washed, and giving the clothes a weird smell. .

hi joycseer, it's good to see yet another discussion from you again. but i am sorry to hear about this bad experience of yours. you must have been very tired and painful. actually, i am interested to know what is your husband's reply when you asked him the question, why are my hands, legs, and back so painful? anyway, congratulations to you and your husband on having a clean car porch now!

LOL! that was funny! how would you forgotten all your hard work in just overnight? i wonder whether your husband also had the same pain like you? if not, i suggest you to request him to give you a full body massage to release all your muscle pain. good idea?

Yeah, i do not know. Maybe because i was too tired to remember anything at that time. Besides, i just woke up from a short hours of sleep like about only 3 hours, as i worked through the late night to finish my important work. So, i slept quite late. I guess insufficient sleep added on with excessive movements for the day wears me out until the next day. I think my husband still fine, because he didn't scrub much, mainly washing the car and spraying waters. Umm, i am not used to body massage actually. I always have some weird feeling about it because it is more like ticklish rather than muscle relaxing. LOL! So, maybe i will pass that.

Hi victorywp, thank you for the encouragement. =) Congratulations to you too! You seem to have just achieved your 500 ratings to be able to use the copy and paste function. =D I am happy for you. Yeah, you are right...i am still having the side effects of the pain and aches all over my body now, including my hands and legs. Hahaha...my husband reply to my question was, "Because we were scrubbing the floor yesterday...have you forgotten?!" LOL! xD Seriously, at that time i just woke up and i totally couldn't remember how the pain comes about. Hehehe...at that time it was a really funny situation with my husband. Thanks, now we have a clean car porch! Awesome feeling! =)

well sad to heard you need to clean so often as the wind blow the dust to your place. and for the broken broom and need to squatting to wash the floor, i can imagine the body pain already. there are feel times i need to do it like squatting to clean process and after everytime of doing so my body screaming later on. that is a bad experience and if possible, i would like to have auto cleaning system in the place i live so i don't need to do all the cleanings. i really hate cleaning and it take out a lot of my time!

Hi xiejiaotu, glad to hear from you again. Hope you are doing well here at mylot. =) Actually it was my first time cleaning after moving in to new house. I have wanted to wash the floor for quite some time, but was always busy with many things. So, didn't get to find the proper time to wash it. So, good thing that public holiday afford me the opportunity to do some housekeeping and cleaning. But, ended up having whole body aching. Hehehe... Well, i don't like cleaning as well. Sometimes i prefer to laze around doing nothing. However, i couldn't stand it if my house is dirty and unclean. It makes me feel uncomfortable. So, no matter what i still need to do something to it. =D LOL. Hope you get to find a auto cleaning system to clean your house for you. However, if you clean yourself, although it wears you out, but you will feel satisfied and happy after seeing your house so clean. =)

Oh man lol that made the job a lot harder then it had to be. Gave you a little more exercise though thats how I always look at things haha. I dont use a mop I wash my floors by hand so I know about how sore you back probably was. My knees hurt so bad if I crawl on them to clean so I have to balance squatting on my feet to do it.

Hi shaggin, exactly right like you said. You really do understand how i felt, especially when we need to crawl all over the floor and balance squatting at every spot to scrub and wash the floor. And not forgetting needing to sweep away the water as well after scrubbing. LOL! That is so true, the broken broom stick really gave me more exercise than it was suppose to, and made the job a lot more difficult to be done. =D We will go buy a new broom for the next cleaning. Hehe..

My only thought here is why your husband didn't get down and scrub the floor for you? LOL.

Hi p1kef1sh, hahaha...sorry, actually my husband did help me with the cleaning too. But then later he has to wash the car, so i was scrubbing the floor more. =D LOL. Hi victorywp, hehe...well, that is true too. If the broom stick hadn't break, it would be easier to wash and scrub the floor without ending up aching all over the body so badly. We did take turns earlier... =)

yes the rains with the wind makes everything dirty we have to clean everything, ya its much difficult to use the broom without the stick .haha so you forgot about everything and the hard work done the other day. So the pains are left for you to remember all the work. Hope you are well now.

Hi prashu228, thank you for your kind concern...i am much better now. Just some slight muscle pains left, should recover in a day or two i suppose. =) Yeah, scrubbing the floor with broom that has no stick is really tiresome. Normally we do scrubbing for toilet floors right? However, toilet floors aren't as wide as the car porch. LOL! The pain remembers me of my hard work, it doesn't want me to forget the memories i had for a clean car porch for the first time. Hehe...
