The National Debt is continuing to go through the roof. Is there a way that you would handle this that included cutting programs, getting rid of programs or just seeing that the spending is appropriate? There is so much resistance to cutting. I think waste needs to be eliminated and the American people should be able to see where their tax dollars are going, I am also aware that because all the American people would never agree on what to do; i t makes the discussit much more interesting.

I would do what I would do in my country: cut down gifts to other countries, safe a lot of money on the government (incl cities etc who waste a lot of money), stop spending on military "excursions" and buying weapons. Increasing income by less tax (we pay tax over tax over tax over tax) so people are able to spend money which is good for the economics worldwide. Give interest over saving money so people will start saving again. Stop the nonsense which is called: one Europe. So in short: help own people first since if you want to change the world you have to start with yourself first!

You are from another country and you got the point. I guess it is a universal common sense. And there is a saying that charity begins at home. It is nice to know that we have an understanding here.

It may not look good for your country to recall and send back home American soldiers in Afghanistan and other countries but it will do good for your country's economy. The measure will help save a lot of dollars for the maintenance and operational expenses of military forces and war materials there, besides saving a lot of precious lives of young soldiers.

I agree. The world is watching and paying attention. I am glad you could put your view on this today.

Well said. It is good to hear from the point of view of a citizen. No matter where they are from in the world. A leader should look at what a country can be, and make an effort to give his or her best in being honest and understanding what can be done realistically.

The USA was once looked up to as the great provider. It had all the resources essential for the growth and development of its people. In the not too distant past, I saw pictures of perhaps wheat harvested in American farms piled by the roadsides because of shortage of warehouses or granaries where to place them. Powder milk, bulgur, etc would reach the shores of third world countries as supplement food for poor people, these relief goods I presume mostly came from Uncle Sam. Now I see a different USA. If it's true that some Americans are jobless, then their daily food sustenance are borne by food stamps. Americans, most especially its elected leaders, must do their level best to restore the dignity, name and prestige that it once enjoyed.
