Woman - Are they really feeling equal

Hi MyLotians,
Do you think that women really feel that they are completely equal to men ?
I still see a lot of women atleast in my country where even after a lot of social changes and cultural changes, behave as if they are inferior to male gender.
How do you see it in your community or your country ?

I still believe that there are certain communities or even countries whose women still suffer from equality issues. Some women are still deprived of the freedom to be who they want to be, and that is just inhumane.

First there should be a trend where both the genders are seen as just mankind and not with male/female bias.
Then probably things might change.

I don't think we are cause I know many that both of them work outside and only the woman is supposed to clean and cook, and also I don't know how many women put up with it, it's very unfair. Women weren't born to cook and clean, I would not do that if we both worked, I'd be exausted and he would have to do the same amount as me, I would divide the work.

:). True, coz i see a large pool of ladies out here who still think that it is their resposibility to take care of the family though there is an equal share for the men too.
And the attitude also seems not to change with both men and women even with changing trends.

I don't think equality exists between the genders as of yet. But it is becoming more and more equal. I think it is very important that future daughters and sons be judged not by what genitals they have, but by what they are capable of.

Hi friend, I am from India, in our country, we give equal importance to women and they are achieving a lot in various sort. But still in some rural areas, women's are interested in depending upon their men and not interested in getting equal importance due to the old culture and traditional activities, it is based on their wish, but almost women's having more power than man in our place

Hi. I am from India. I respect women, i mean people here say so that they do. But i have seen many bad people who disrespect women and i feel very bad. It's not that women must feel equal to men but i think and strongly believe that men should make women equal to them. Equality should exist between both genders.

I don't really mind if they are almost or already equal to us men, as long as they are responsible for the things they want to prove to us.

I don't really see what is wrong when woman will become equal to man,even me i don't put such big deal for that.We have our freedom i guess, and we can do whatever we like to do,if they chose to compete with man then they can.And if she is responsible and qualified then let it be.
