Good day people in the house. I found new thing that I already begun learning once in a while. Its paper origami that really caught my interest.Quite interesting to do and learn since it is about folding paper and turning it into some shapes and forms like animals, flowers, clothes and other things that really looks cute and nice. I actually knew about it in an smartphone application which I downloaded and installed in my phone.I already learned how to make pig, star, ring, rose and heart. I am trying to do a dragon but it is really hard just like the rabbit. Still learning one thing at a time and enjoy doing it once in a while during spare time or to release stress which is really bring so much fun and learning at the same time. Better try it to folks. Enjoy your day here and happy mylotting.

But at least you have tried it before.Laziness is always there to stop us from what we want to do but we really have to fight for it and have motivation to be more productive and busy in things that we want and like to do.

I have search about this origami thing and I found them interesting. Just imagine you could form flowers, birds and other things through folding papers. Considered to be a kind of art like painting or sculpting. It can be a stress reliever too, because you find contentment and satisfaction once you have finished one. Yeah, it's fun to learn new things and apply it.

I have seen this done on the television quite a few times, and you are right the result is quite impressive. It would obviously take a lot of practice to become good at this because if one fold was a little out of position then the whole proportions of the figure would appear wrong.

Yes, especially when you can not think of anything to post on mylot, it's another alternative if you have a free time. And discover how your hands with a little practice could do something beautiful.

Oh yes quite relaxing, interesting to do and sort of stress reliever.Quite hard at first like other things but as you go on and continue practicing, learning and understanding the craft, eventually you will enjoy it.Especially if you see the finished art that you have done and when you are doing some folding and shape without looking at the instructions, quite fulfilling.

This sounds quite a good idea. Origami has been a commonly known thing for a long while and we have all been impressed by the results whenever we have observed it. Despite this it is something that most of us admire but never consider trying. I can imagine that it could be a very interesting thing to learn, and you can certainly impress your friends after a little practice.

Yeah the result is really impressing especially if you done a certain object on my own and not looking into the instructions. Some other people are quite amazed if I have done something out of a small paper like heart or flower but still need more practices to done the complicated and hard one.,

hi ardoy0731. tried my hand at origami before. i bought an origami kit which includes a book of instructions on how to create the origami pieces plus the origami paper to be used. i was able to build a couple of the figures but only the simple ones. when it came to the complicated origami figures, i tried but just couldn't figure out how to do these. anyway, i might to pick up origami again as a hobby as it has a lot of benefits. plus, the cost ain't that much as it only needs origami paper to do. hopefully, i get better this time out and i'm able to create the more complicated origami figures. if i'm good enough, i might try to teach my daughter how to do a couple of origami figures. i'm sure it will be a good bonding time for us. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Ardoy, it is good to hear you had learned a new thing to overcome your boredom. I like paper origami, too. I learned it from my mother when i was still a kid. Although i had learned quite a lot but i had forgotten quite a lot of them, too. Maybe i should start searching for the book, which my mother had bought for me and start practicing it again. So that, my skill would be back again. Hope you enjoy it a lot.

I have two Origami books that was bought for me by my mom when I was seven years old. That book even included some bright colored paper for the Origami. I can still do some from memory, my favorite being the hand puppet and the set of chairs and tables. Sometimes at work, when I'm really stressed I would grab a piece of bond paper from my boss's table and do some Origami.

My 12 year old grandson started to do origami about 3 years ago, and he is now quite skilled. He is always thrilled when I buy him more paper and new books. You can find many instructions for origami on youtube.

wow. I have no skills in origami i can not understand the foldings. LOL. It turned out to be crampled and unwanted creases every time I tried one. Whew, my logical mind doesn't work on these. But I am interested, nice hobby and stress relieving activity. Where do you put your finished origamis? Do you sell them? Interesting and enticing, though. Good for you , enjoy your day too happy origamiying (lol such a word)

Yeah quite fun to do but there are some forms that are hard to do.I think we also did it during school days but I think I was not into it that time.Nice to do it especially if you really get it and already know the folding and steps that lead to the finished product of the paper.

That is great that you are learning to do origami. I've always been very interested in the art of paper folding, but it has never been something that I've been good at doing. When I was in school, a lot of my friends would make the fortune tellers and I always thought that they were really cool and I always wanted to make my own, but it wasn't something that I was able to do, I always just ended up getting frustrated about it.

That's nice ardoy0731! I know origami, the art of folding paper. That's it. I only know how to fold and can't do other things like vase or anything else. I use to get my papers in a bingo in mall. I mean, I asked for those papers from them. Me and my sister jokingly tells that I am not really into arts. Since I had stopped making it, I make those bingo papers as my scratch paper now. I love recycling papers and it make it my notepad.

I love to create many things from paper, I used to do them, and the violin which is as my avatar is made from paper too. I agree with you it's so much fun and great to spend time for fun. I made many things though it's not really origami but called papercraft since it is made from paper but with complex and realistic shapes not like origami, you can check my stuff at my deviantart account : http://vissyscrafts.deviantart.com/

Oh at least you give it a try and best.It was quite at first especially if we can't do the proper way and outcome was different.Hence, practice, patient and studying it are really needed for us to learn it the way it should be. Good luck in your crocheting.
