I have recently watched a new documentary about The Rolling Stones on HBO. It is titled "Crossfire Hurricane". It was very interesting. I was never a big fan of Rock and Roll in my younger days. I was aware of The Rolling Stones but never followed them. I only recently have discovered them and other Rock and Rollers of the past like Steven Tyler. I am always behind the times.
I was surprised and amazed at how good looking Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the others were. They were good looking guys! They are very educated and intelligent. Mick has the same body language now that he had when young and his present day prancing around on stage is just like he was when he was young.
But oh, those drugs. It is amazing and a miracle that these musicians are alive and not just alive, but in fairly decent health. The heroin that they did as well as other drugs! They must have some genes that they have survived those drugs.

I was driving with my teenage son yesterday. He was changing the frequency of the radio looking for some music when I heard 'Angie' and told him to stop. He had no idea what song it was and I told him I can recognize Mick Jagger's voice anytime. I can't believe anyone won't know The Rolling Stones!

I was familiar with The Rolling Stones but it was not my kind of music when I was young. Interestingly enough, I lived in both Los Angeles and San Francisco in the 1960's. These cities were happening places but unfortunately or fortunately for me, I was a square.
I am more hip and cool now that I am a senior.

Yes, it is hard not to recognise Mick Jagger's voice because he had such a distinctive voice and also a distinctive way of performing a song. I can fully understand someone not recognising his earlier music because it was a long time ago, but his voice does not seem to have changed much despite the passing years.

I am a fan of the Rolling Stones. Read in the news that they had just started their 2012 tour in England. "50 Years and Counting" - That is the name of their tour, Amazing! I particularly like the song "Paint it black". It was so powerful and mesmerizing. It is the theme song from the TV series "Tour of Duty". Every time I listen to that song I will think of the helicopter hovering and the bombs exploding.

Unfortunately that would not have been shown in England, which is a pity because I would have liked to see it.
I was a fan of the Rolling Stones for a long while and followed their recordings from the start. This changed once they started to change their style a little, which seemed to begin when they released the album Beggar's Banquet. I still have a decent collection of their recordings from the early years and prefer such songs as Paint it Black or Get Off of my Cloud.

I was not a fan of The Stones back when. I am still not a big fan but more aware of them. I like learning and getting acquainted. I do not know most of their songs and know nothing about the different albums. But I sure enjoy the history of these musicians and bands.
Is HBO not in England? It might be that you could buy the program. Possibly you can do a search on HBO or on the documentary. It was very interesting.
