I like black coulour for clothing because it's slimming and easy to pair with almost everything! But I have noticed that most of my winter dresses and tops are black! I always try on other colours and I like them but at the end I buy the black one! Do you add a lot of colourful items in your closet for the winter?
I think I always prefer the classic black choice or other dark colours like blue, and dark grey..

Hi besweet, black and white is always my favorite selection of clothes. I have a whole lot of black and white color clothing. Sometimes i even wore whole black for the day to work. LOL! But then later i learn to choose and buy other colors, and find them quite nice too. However, the color that i choose should matches with my skin color, otherwise it would look weird on me. =P

I am not wearing a lot of white, although I like it for my tops and t-shirts. It gets dirty easily and I have to be very careful when I am wearing white clothes! I have a white coat that I bought from Italy a few years ago and I haven't worn it since that year because it can only be cleaned at dry cleaning and it's too expensive to do that every month!

I make a mess when I eat as well! Last week I took some take away food with my friends and we decided to eat some when we were waling home. I splashed the white sauce all over my black coat and my jeans. The jeans were cleaned but the coat has a big stain at the front that didn't get cleaned with hand washing. I can't put it in the washing machine so my option is dry cleaning again! I think I'll leave it there for a while and maybe I 'll dry clean it later.

Yeah, wearing white have to be extra careful. Especially when we are eating noodle soup, it tend to splash everywhere. Whenever i eat curry, surely there would be some spots on my white clothes.
By keeping white clothes in your closet for long term, it will cause the clothing to become yellowish. And as such, it is harder to get it clean. But going to the dry cleaning is really expensive. Wearing it once a while and not keeping it too long in the wardrobe is still better.

You are correct there that black is harmonious upon match with other colors.I like
black with yellow,it makes you glowing.Black with blue, violet or brown makes you look darker.Using always black makes you eat more food because the color absorbs make appetite, that is why you could become more hungry, and eventually makes you become fatter.

I also like black, it makes my body look slimmer, it can become formal and be worn at various occasions if we add the right accessories and it's easy to match. However it's not the best choice for sunny days because it absorbs the heat as a friend here noted which is very true! But sometimes we have to add some colourful items, I love it when I see bright and vivid outfits on others and I think I should start being more flexible!

I use to work with an older woman who always wore black. Her hair was gray but she had it dyed black. Don't know if that was her original color, though.
I have several pairs of black slacks and jeans. And of course shoes and socks. But I only have 2 black shirts. Everything else is colorful. Black (in a shirt or any top) doesn't look good on me. Oh, I have a couple of black jackets and 3-4 black sweaters. It's good to have black because it goes with everything. And doesn't almost every woman have at least one "little black dress"?
An absolute necessity! I do have some gray and actually I like gray very much.

Haha! Yes, that's what they say in all fashion reports!
Adding some colour to your outfits is nice, I like watching different colours in people's outfits around me. I guess that if I was watching myself all day I might be bored of the black sweater-black coat-black shoes look!
I remember one time I was working at a beauty shop promoting a perfume and I was obliged to wear white top/black pants/black shoes every day! I didn't like it because all the ladies in the shop looked the same, but I actually bought a few white tops and shirts back them and I was wearing them in my every day life as well, with my jeans to look more casual.

My mother didn't own one black thing at all. She couldn't stand black. She was a sharp dresser and she liked colors. I did get her to buy a really pretty dress once that was a flower print with a black background. It was mostly all floral, the background didn't show that much. She wore it and it looked really nice but I don't think she ever really liked it. And I don't like having everybody dress the same. I'd rather wear my own clothes and not look like everybody else. I think a white shirt looks really good with jeans, for some reason. It's just a good combination.

Black is a very elegant and classy color but not really my taste ! I am not comfortable to wear anything black even undies. Though if others wear it , i find them beautiful. Through any season i love and prefer to wear pink dresses. I feel so comfortable and confident if i wear any pink clothes that includes undies and foot wears.

Pink is a sweet colour! But the only clothes that I have in pink are some socks and undies. I think we are exactly the opposite when it comes to colours that we wear! I feel the same way, I like seeing other people wearing bright colours like red or pink etc, but in my own closet everything is dark coloured.

Black is a nice color because it keeps things elegant. However, wearing too much black would make one look too serious or look older. That's why I make sure that when I do wear black, I would put some accent.
Further, my mother would always tell me to avoid wearing black because though I'd look slim and all with it, it would make me look older than my age. So now, I have variety of colors as well. It's always nice to see someone wearing varieties of colors everyday, keeps the person looking interesting instead of plain.
Not to mention that my country is a humid one, wearing black actually absorbs heat so makes the weather extra humid! But of course, we could mat black with other colors as well, it doesn't have to be all black, I usually would wear black with white coat or with a red purse or scarf.
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Black is not a good colour to wear under the sun! I know it because summers are very hot in my country as well! But during the winter I find it easy and fast to put on my black tops or dresses than try to match other colours between them.
I don't think it makes me look older, because I have blond hair and fair skin so it's a nice contrast with darker colours like black or dark blue and green colour of cypress.
I like your colour combinations, it looks like you really like adding colour to your outfits and your life! Have a nice day!

I love black clothes. I would wear them all day everyday if I could lol. I do try and wear different colours so I don't look drab all the time. I wear jeans and black trousers but wear different coloured tops. I don't tend to wear grey, I also love black as it's a slimming colour too.

Blue and green suit me as well because I have blond hair. But mustard is not my colour, in fact I had a sweater in that colour and I thought it looked great on me until I saw a piture of me wearing this! I gave it away immediately!
It depends on the skin colour and the hair/eyes indeed! Black suits me well and that's why I am wearing it as well!

I also love black and most of my clothes are in black. Just like you, it is easy to pair with and it makes me look slimmer. but then again, I have other colors in my closet as well. You might want to try different hues just so your look doesn't get boring.

When I was a teenage girl I used to own black stuff, and every time I went shopping my eyes is fixed with black jeans, t-shirts, shorts, shoes and other stuff. I don't know why I'm so captivated with that color.
But now... I don't do such things anymore, I have varieties of colors in my closet already and thanks to my girly girly friends who influences me. But I do like dark colors than brighter ones.
