Mosquitos by the end of november!

Greece

We are reaching the end of november, and mosquitoes are still roaming around my house! Usually they disappear by the end of september, but this year it has been surprisingly hot. It still feels pretty warm out (for november), when it shouldn't be like this normally.:P The weird thing is that mosquitoes themselves disappeared for about a month, starting from september, but then in october they suddenly reappeared out of nowhere and starting raiding again! grr.. one of the most annoying things in the world..:P

I find it annoying enough to have the occasional flies in the house, so I cannot imagine how bad it would be to have mosquitos. It has actually been predicted that the constant rising global temperatures will eventually result in mosquitos living in England, which I certainly do not look forward to.

Stupid climate changing. If England becomes a suitable place for mosquitoes to survive, I can't imagine what is going to happen over in my country. It is probably going to be like a heaven to them. With the very high humidity levels and hot climate we should be prepared to be annoyed by little devilish mosquitoes the whole year, non-stop!

It would probably seem worse for the English people because we are not accustomed to having such insects here. I would probably be up all night trying to ensure that every one has been removed from my home.

Maybe they are zombie mosquitos :P I assume that with the climate changes, mosquitos also made some upgrades in their behaviour to resist to all these disturbances of temperature.

I believe you are right. Everything seems to adapt to the changes sooner or later. I also believe that the past few years they are acting tougher towards those mosquito repellents as well. I guess just killing them is better than repelling them away with weird smells, that can also be bad for our own health. Zombie mosquitoes eh?:P Shoot them in the head I guess!:P

I am not having trouble with mosquitos in my apartment! They have been gone for a few months. Usually the spiders are gone by now! Not this year! I am still finding them around! Three in the past two days! I know there is around the sink area because I find webs in the corner of the sink area! I have tried to find it but no luck! It is crazy! I hate those things more then mosquitoes!

haha. I don't have a problem with spiders, as long as they are not big and hairy at least! :P I wish I had some spiders over here at my place. Then maybe they would help me a bit with the mosquito catching. It seems however that spiders here are having a more difficult time adapting to the climate changes in comparison with the mosquitoes! :P

That's unfortunate! We haven't had any mosquitos or gnats around here since before the beginning of October. When there's an occasional sunny and warm day, the flies get out from who knows where and annoy everyone. How hot is it where you are? The highs we had today were about 10 degrees Celsius and that's definitely too low for gnats :)

Today it was pretty cold actually (13 celcius degrees), but from what I just saw online regarding the weather forecast, on tuesday we are going to reach 21 degrees again. I guess it is enough for the mosquitoes to survive and roam around a little longer. At least flies seem to have kinda disappeared, thank god. They can be more annoying than mosquitoes at times.:P

We have the same problem here. This year brought much more of those little monsters then other years. But we have mosquito coils here and they really help! In the evening I even keep my door open and place the coil in front of the door. They don't come in!But as soon as I go outside I'm fully attacked. WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Hehe.. we use mosquito coild as well. we call them little snakes because of their shape:P In the begining i used to hate them due to their smoke's smell, but since they have results at least i'm begining to love them. I even start to like the smell.. although we only use them outdours, at the backyard and places like this. It can be too suffocating inside the house.:P

I visited scotland in the beginning of november and I can say you are right, It is however really cold there, we even got a -2 degrees celcius on our visit a very early morning, so I can see why you have no nasty mosquitoes there.:P I had a wonderful time there by the way. I know england and scotland is not the same, but the climate shouldn't be too different, especially if you live in the northern england.

Well, don't bother yourself...try to buy an insect repellent...spray them! Also, you can put fire in your backyard and put coconut husk... this way, the smoke will repel them.
