annual purge

I do not come on as much as I use to, but when I do I try to answer as many of my friends that I can. I also deleted a few of my friends a few months ago, plus I do not add anyone now, as a lot of people tend to leave as soon as they have started. I notice that you had not deleted me, thank you.

Thanks for not deleting me! I recently did this, too. It's rare that I have a day with no work but I did and I decided to clean up my friends list. Most had not been active for years. One hadn't been active but I like him so much I kept him just in case he came back! I also deleted those who never posted anything interesting to me. I cut my list by about 30%. I think we all need to clean house every so often.

hi BarBaraPrz oh i do so need to do this as I have a huge list of fr i ends as I cannot seem to say no. I know a lot of them are not still here bu t its going to be a big job. for me. over a thousand names and I never meant it to get that big either.

I've been having problems with my friends list, it will say they deleted me, or I deleted them, and meanwhile we didnt. I know I got a couple PMs asking why I deleted them, and meanwhile I didnt. I try to go through my friends list, and toss those who get deleted or dont follow the guidelines (I dont bother responding to their discussions as they would get deleted).

there are people whose discussions always make it to the top or hot tabs so it's okay if they're not on my friends list because i'm bound to see them. sometimes i join their discussions. then there are people who are good with short responses that make me chuckle but don't necessarily feel the need to add them but i might post a comment in their box when something is especially funny.

I suspect you didn't delete me either. I am getting notifications, sometimes, enough that I had to go delete some because I was up to about 500 again!

You can be bothered to do that? I'm impressed. I find it takes so long to trawl through them that I figure they can't bother me if they're not active. It just makes it a pain if I want to locate someone for a message.

I did this a while go so I can have more fun on mylot and really talk to the people who I know the most every time I come into mylot. I'm still playing catch up but I think I have deleted all those who need to go. I used ot think more friends was best, but now I think a smaller circle is so much better and try and be really friends with them. I know what you mean and where you are coming from

So far I haven't deleted anyone off my mylot friends'list,but a few of mylotters deleted me .I have very few friends here on mylot beside you.The reason why it is is that I don't have much time to be here and I am slow in writing and reading due to the fact that English isn't my first language.If I make too many friends ,I am afraid I may miss a lot of discussions my friends start that maybe I am interested in.I think this way I am just a nominal friend.

Good for you that you found the time to do some purging. I have been meaning to do that ever since but I seem not to get the time to do so. Maybe you could purge my account as well? You are able to do this annually? I guess its high time for me to do the same.

Hi Bar! I'm getting some notifications, but not enough. I haven't checked but I'm sure we are still on each other's friend list. I cleaned house a couple of weeks ago.

Well, I got this notification in my email, saying my "friend" started this new discussion. I take that as you didn't delete me! Seems like my only friends are through the internet!

Well I have been going thru my friends list as well from time to time and checking to see if the people are still active here. I think personally it never hurts to do this.

Hi Barbara, I guess it is a good idea to purge your friends list once in a while. I must confess that I have been a member of mylot for four years. Since joining mylot, I have never deleted anyone from my friends list.

You have deleted you say and yet you want to know if you have deleted them by mistake! How is one to know if you have decided to delete them or they have been deleted by mistake!
