Anytime we read newspaper, watch news on TV, read news on social media, posts on internet etc, actually without we realize it, those media are forming our opinions. not long ago, spreading news about Jacky Chan died in film shooting location. in no time, my social media accounts full with comments about it, though later it was revealed that it was only gossip. same thing when TV casting the same lies over and over; at the end audience will think that "it's the fact because TV says so" This is the danger of media power. James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies", describe it very well, how a media tycoon could try to arrange war between British and China. Do you think it's really happening to us all now?

Media is full of lies and propaganda. It's very dangerous to have only one source of information because that source can be unreliable. With newspapers and television it's a bit easier, but when it comes to Internet,it's so complicated because anyone can post anything. That hoax about Bill Gates giving away his billions to everyone who reads a chained e-mail or this site where God and aliens answer your questions. So stupid.

so in perspective of forming our opinion, do you think media affect our way of thinking towards something? I wrote about it because media in my country heavily publish about war victim in Palestine; they give a very small portion into what's going on, why it happened and I hardly found news about victim from Israel, although Obama described it as "missiles raining" on Israel.

I think that when the war is going on, there are victims on both sides. If they talk only about the victims on one side, it means they want you to support this side and not the other. For example, support Palestinians, Israel is evil, or support Israel, Palestinians are terrorists. The purpose of this is that you support violence and war when you support any of them.
