I couldn't find any good ideas to write about for the last couple of weeks. I has a small trip this weekend and got a few days off writing after I came back. Today I was in the mood to start again so I chose one of my unfinished review and finished it! I think it came out very good. I had a lot of new things to write about and I could put everything in the right order! I feel relieved and I will continue tomorrow! We had a rainy day today and I stayed at home watching it through my window. It calmed me down and I was feeling relaxed all day! Do you like rainy weather? I think it motivates me to write and inspires me as well!

I do find rainy weather inspiring. I like the rain. It seems peaceful to me. I haven't written anything in a long time. I use to write poetry years ago. Maybe all you needed was a break to resuscitate your dwindling creativity. Everybody needs to get away sometimes. A little side trip off the main road of life can be refreshing, like the rain. I'm glad everything has fallen back into place for you.

Deazil, I for one is one who loves writing, though am a native english speaker from one of those British colonies, writing have really helped improve my knowledge. I would like to point out that now that you are out of work and probably older, it really won't be easy but you could easily pick up a particular topic and amase knowledge on it. Within a certain amount of time, you would be able to write on these topic, probably just join sites and provide them with articles on that topic. Learning isn't far-fetched, it is within us, we just have to dig deep enough to tap into what we can really achieve.

Why did you stop writing poetry? I hope we will see a sample of your poems here one day :) In the site that I am writing at, there is a member that posts his poems. They are not reviews, but he posts them at the member's area. I enjoy reading them, although I know nothing about poetry! I will send you a link and maybe you like them and they can inspire you! I am more technical in my writing, that's why I am mostly writing reviews! But I still need inspiration and creativity!

That was very good! Poor Guy Fawkes. Thank you for that. I wrote children's poetry. My father was a politician, he wrote speeches. My mother wrote poems for fun, my younger brother does business writing (proposals, reports, etc.) and my sister for quite a few years wrote grant proposals (very in-depth 400+ page volumes). She had a team that she assigned different sections to and she had her own sections. Now she does a weekly, I think, article for a newspaper. My older brother was good at love letters and some poetry. I am the least capable writer in my family. I wish I could really write. I had 5 or 6 poems that I wrote that I thought were really good. I usually don't think what I've written is good, I'm very self critical. I put the poems in a folder an 13-14 years ago and can't find it. I have a house full of 40 years worth of stuff. I haven't been able to really write in a long, long time. And now, being out of work, and my age, I find it harder to think deeply enough to write. And I spend just about all my waking hours on the computer trying to make whatever I can for a little extra $. You're very lucky to be more of a technical writer. It's a good field that will always be needed. And you're right about poetry in here. No poetry. But I thank you again for the link to that wonderful poem. I enjoyed it very much.

Hi besweet, it nice to know that you are able to write after a break. As for me i've lost it i think i use to write a lot especially random stuff, but now none of it matters. time to time i do get some idea but my sentence formation has gone to down the flush, i am a non-native English speaker and without the practice and self discipline its hard for me now since I have thousands of other stuff do. Well, I do like rainy weather but now nothing makes much sense to me

I am not a native English speaker either and I think I was far more better in writing than I am now. I took a break for a few months as well and then I went back to writing.

I didn't face any difficulties, but I needed to write some reviews before finding my old style back. But then suddenly I didn't like my writings. This small break helped me to come back again, I think this time I am not going to push myself and take it slow for a while! P.S. Sorry for the double comment but I got an error and I was unable to post it all in once!

It's a good idea, you must have a well organised community! I live in the country side and my options are limited on that subject! I love snow as well, although it rarely snowa over here, maybe once a year for a couple of days.

Good to hear that you are writing again ! As they said , once a writer will always be a writer ! Writing is a gift , it is where one can find peace and refuge . Not all can write but all can read. Writing can't be forced . It only needs that mood and drive to move those hands and if it is in mood , the writer is helpless , it's the heart and soul that speaks ! Keep writing , no sport and leisure can take its place.

It's always a good idea to allow yourself a free day when you're stuck in your writing. It refreshes the body, mind, heart and soul, and prepares you to return to the task with new energy and ideas. I'm glad you had that opportunity to do so. We're supposed to have a rainy day here today, and I am working through it, but at the window where I can watch it unfold. Best wishes! :-)

I agree, it's very refreshing when we take some days off and have new experiences and new ideas to write about! When the weather changes our mood is also good because we find new interests! Thank you for your response! Have a great week!

Thanks :) I am writing reviews! I couldn't give a vivid image of my personal experience with the products for some time and I didn't want to post my reviews on the site. Now I think I found my style again and I am getting nice comments for my work as well!

It does! We just have to give a push, for example if you are ears without writing then you have to do something about it cause the gift goes away. There was this old man starting his art gallery and when asked why he was doing this at his age, he was like 88 to 95! He answered that he once wanted to publish a book but was too afraid and the gift was lost.

Gifts and talents need practice. I don't think that they dissapear, but if we loose iterest on them then all the practice that we've done needs to start from the beginning. It's a double effort that most people are not willing to make. I think that without pressure I found my inspiration again. I hope I will keep writing! :) Thanks for your comment!

Sometimes the brain like the body needs a break. After a few days off you will come back writing up a storm.

Welcome back to the writing world besweet. It's great to meet people like you who are very passionate in this job. I also love writing when it's raining; I love the soothing sound of rain drops. I like the smell and feel of the air. It makes me in the mood to write more while listening to hippie music. It helps me to get more focused because I don't have to go to our refrigerator and take some water to drink that much compared when it's very hot outside. It does not require me to go to the toilet more often to urinate because of that. Haha. Have a great day!

Congratulations, you must be inspired with the weather. Yes i like rainy day if I am just home and if there is no work. but, if I need to report for work, it is very lousy day. Grrrrr... Good for you though, Good luck.

I think I was :) This year I have enjoyed all seasons in full! I loved the summer and not I like looking at the rain outside my window or wear my wellies and my raincoat and go outside for a walk. I am guessing that's why I got sick! But I also wrote a very nice review and that's important for me!
