Message not showing up?

I have been trying to message this person that I am friends with and it isn't working. It says I sent it and everything but I look in my "sent" folder and even my "all" folder and there is absolutely nothing except for something I sent to someone else! I don't know what the problem is and I have tried twice now with the same person.
Has anyone had a similar problem? I think this very well may be something I missed when reading FAQs and guidelines, but I really would like to know what is going on. Hopefully I'm not alone either.

Though I could be completely off track here, it could be that the server on the site is bogged down because of the fact that there has been a lot more traffic on the site than there typically is because of the fact that this is a holiday week. I have noticed that overall the site is a little bit slower than it usually is.
However, there could also be something else that is happening that is not allowing your personal messages and responses to them to go through. I hope that this is something that you are able to figure out pretty quickly.
By the way, did you get the message that I'd sent to you?

Oh, gosh. I remember reading a topic about disappearing messages a while ago. I think someone said that they had the problem when they tried to skip tagging the message, but if they tagged it as soon as it was sent there wasn't a problem.
You might need to send Mylot a message about it if you keep having issues with PMing that friend.

Yesterday early evening, I've encountered a problem in posting my comment. It said unable to post content, please try again. So I tried many times. Then, when I checked my comment, they were successfully posted. I guess we're encountering problems these past few hours. Your problem is different to mine though. I haven't tried messaging my friends yet today. This post might get deleted because it is a personal issue with myLot. I hope it will get fixed immediately. Just enjoy posting your discussion,etc.
