Fibro aches and pains are REAL..Ive had it for over 20 yrs...Ive tried so hard to still have a job ( tried sitting jobs, standing jobs, cleaning jobs, cooking jobs) but I couldnt find one that didnt make my body ache worse than what I woke in the morning to. I have recently applied for Disability because I have enough pains without causing more. The Fibro fog makes it hard to do things everyday..let alone at a job. Sometimes I forget how to spell simple words...how to turn on the shower...specific words to complete a sentence. Not fun Being that its hard to move around..its hard to do things enough without people thinking that you are faking because you are still smiling! We are not faking it people..this is a real disease and it sucks. There are too many doctors that think a little weight loss or exercise will cure it...Weight loss would be nice..but the aches are on the inside in the muscles..not from fat. Tell me some of your experiences...

I realize that while I have fibro, I don't have it as bad as many people. I seldom have the fibro fog, unless I've just not had enough sleep. I'm still working, but happily its a job that lets me sit or stand pretty much as I need to, my client is so happy to have me as her home health aide that I can get away with things another person wouldn't be able to do.

I've been diagnosed for about 11 years, but I'd be willing to bet I've had it closer to 25.
