I didn't hear the whole story but apparently there were doors that closed somewhere in my area because of hostess. It seemed to be a small business, but they had to lay off like 20 workers.
Very sad.
Have you guys seen the little "blurb" floating around about WHY exactly hostess closed it's doors?
WHY they went bankrupt?
I'm shaking my head here, greed.

Instead of taking a 5% paycut like Hostess needed them to because of the economy, the union had their workers strike. So instead of taking 5 percent less, the employees will now take 100 percent less. However, it appears parts of Hostess will be bought by other companies.

In todays economy lack of business and the cost is the main one. I know many are struggling and not spending as much money as they once did. I know a few business here have closed down because of this. Some eventually reopening, but really not worth keeping open if you arnt bringing in money which then reflects back on the owners personal financies.
