One time my friend and I were talking about IQ. He told me that he's IQ is 115, I told him, "Wow you are smart, then we are matched and how about we create a company together. He thought that I would say that I have high IQ too, I jokingly told him "no I belong to below average". so we are matched when you give me some of your scores, we are even. In http://psychology.about.com/od/psychologicaltesting/genius-iq-score.htm, discussed that person whose score reaches 180 and up is considered to be profoundly gifted. The average intelligence scores 85 to 114. As for my friend, he belongs to above average which score ranges from 115-129. This is interesting, have you had your IQ tested. Would you like to know what your IQ is? Do you think IQ can make a person successful in life? have you known of someone who is profoundly gifted? Thank you.

I became a member of British Mensa a long time ago, which required a supervised IQ to assess whether I would qualify for entry. I was given a score of 168, but would not consider that to be a guaranteed figure because there are many factors that would govern the result ranging from my condition on the day to how fortunate the questions were in my case. It is almost certain that I would attain a different score in a repeat test, so it would really require an average over several tests to ascertain a realistic figure. I only remained in Mensa for one year because the society seemed to offer very little of interest for me, although I did manage to satisfy my curiosity concerning how well I would fare in the test.

I would not consider myself a genius just because I have a decent IQ, although it is nice to know that I qualified for Mensa quite comfortably. Furthermore I have never been naïve enough to think that a good IQ makes me any better than the next person, which is probably the main reason why I did not find anything in Mensa to persuade me to continue the membership after one year.

Last time I checked, I did have my IQ test taken and it was 92. Of course, that was years ago, it probably deflated since then!

The last time I had my IQ tested when I was at high school but I don't remember the score. I don't care about my IQ, I think I'm not a bright person with a high IQ but I won't rely my life on IQ score I believe I can be a success person even I don't have a high IQ score. Maybe I'm not a genius but I'm willing to learn and to try. If a person is not gifted a high IQ score, I'm sure the person is gifted something else.

Hello fashionfever, I agree with you entirely on this. I may have a very good IQ, but I am quite useless when it comes to jobs around the house. I would never risk attempting to solve a plumbing problem or fit a door. It is far safer for me to pay someone to do this for me, because these people have talents and skills that I do not possess.

Hi Mavic123456 and Asylum, this is the beautiful of life each person blessed different skills and talents so we can complete and help each other. If all people know how to fix every household problem, then there are not much employment left for other. I don't remember my IQ score and now I'm a bit slow in thinking after my accident where I suffered head injury, yesterday I try to take a simulation test for my exam and I sweat a lot felt like a heavy pressure inside my head. It will take more time to complete my degree but I already have a back up plan for my future, something that won't require a lot of thinking.

Of course no one should be dealing with the IQ alone but with other gifts this person must improve and develope more. Thanks. I know you have other gifts as well. ;) thanks

My average IQ (based on 2 different IQ tests I have taken this past year) is 139. And yes, I know someone who has a higher IQ, my colleague who is taking up law has an IQ of 154 and my boyfriend/husband is at 154 as well. Yes, i maybe above average but those two are way special compared to me!

last I checked, my IQ was in the 160s range. But that was a few years ago, before I left school for the military. I am in college now, so I'm sure it has gone up some after having dropped significantly. I do know I have always been smart and talented, but your IQ level means nothing if you don't take advantage of what skills and gifts God has given you. IQ does play a role in success, but only if you take advantage of it. And even if you have a low IQ, you can still be very successful. it's all dependent upon you. p.s. - I will be 18 next month, if age has anything to do with this topic.

ahhh yeah that's pretty scary, what if you get below 70? so you won't even give a try, even if someone will offer you money to take it?

@VivaLaDani13 Of course you are not stupid, but somehow it is intriguing, how much our IQ is. or will there be any measurement for emotional quotient as well.

@Mavic123456 I would do it for free but I worry that it will come back with a low score. I don't believe I am stupid. I don't believe anyone is stupid but I do believe that not everyone has the same kind of smarts. My smarts are more towards street smart or smart with common sense etc. I don't know what sort of questions are asked in an IQ test but I'm kinda thinking it will be things I'm not too familiar with.

No, even academically those that do best are the 100-120 range, those with higher IQs tend to do badly except at the highest level all the best, urban

I am also wondering how can we be able to measure our I.Q.Is there an application for that tools on how to measure I.Q.?I want to know my I.Q.Average and I do not know how. Is it in the form of quiz or what? Do abstract belongs also to the I.Q. test? I am interested with how much is my I.Q. average.
