I get so very tired of the media parading all the scandals any high profile person has had part in or that appears they have part in.. I think it's shameful enough that a person . .of any rank .. may have cheated on his/her spouse but to put it in front of the cameras .. across all the networks etc etc. etc.. Does someone having an affair .. change their ability to do a good job at plumbing, writing, etc ? What is it about the scandal and the violence that makes people take it across the whole world in whatever form of media they can.. It's like having soap operas without even turning to any specific channel What do you think ? Joy

It's what they do for a living. Of course there are ethics and standards being followed. High profile people know that they are very prone to this. But I guess there's really nothing to worry if they don't do anything wrong, illegal or immoral. These people should know that being popular means that the world's eyes are focused on them, therefore take the pressure of serving as a model and inspiration to others. It's shameful for those who brags having committed mistakes and still feel proud of it or trying to make it look right.

Why does that have to be though irahness? why does it have to be that being a public figure means their private lives must be on display. .I think there should be some boundaries.. that give even public people some privacy..especially when it deals with exposing shameful things done in private. none of us would like our sins dancing across the tv screen..

I hate it, too. TV should provide nice entertainment and value. If they have this power, they should use it for shaping taste, educating... not laughing on people or idolizing people, or setting them as an etalon for being cool who are always drunk and sleep with anyone. Also, those people who don't do the scandalous things publicly, and who are not dangerous for people, should be left alone. Also, their acting talent shouldn't be questioned just because of the scandals.

The thing is that if people would stop watching the trash.. media would stop putting it. .media responds to demands of the people. and since so many tune into trashy stuff it keeps getting paraded across the screen.. makes you wonder..Is society fueled by the violence and corruption in other people's lives? Do we thrive on the ugliness in the lives of others?

The only reason scandals such affairs are covered by the media is because people are interested in them and lots off people will buy papers or magazines or watch tv programmes about it and all the media companies are interested in is making lots of money.Personally im not overly interested in celebrity gossip and try to focus on the more srious media and news, however i live in a building with a lot of people and whos sleeping with who is a regular topic of conversation.I think it is human nature to talk about other peoples personal lives however bad that it is.The media is just capitalising on human nature to increase their profits.Though if we stopped being so obsessed by such stories they would be forced to release different stories.

I agree, this is why I don't watch TV. It get's annoying seeing and reading about so and so doing this, or cheating on so and so. I do watch certain shows online, which have very limited commercials, I just switch my webpage when the commercials come on. It's all a way to catch attentions and make money.

In my country we don't see at TV the real celebrities (I mean actors, singers, writers) in scandals. We have our so called "celebrities" who are the wife of some football player or something and they are inventing stories abot them to attract the attention of the media. I really don't know why they are doing this or why people like to watch something like this. I personally turn off the TV when I see something like this is starting... Other people... I don't know... maybe they are watching this kind of stories becouse being from real life they are more interested of them than that stories presented in movies.

I guess, for me. there are some real life situations that I don't care to hear of. .I feel if it's scandolous and from someones private life it should not be aired. .but..that is just how I feel.

well, that's one of irregularities that must be avoided by some TV personalities. They must be careful of what they are doing, becuae they are now a public figure and they must always think that public are eyeing on them. They may be famous but they dont have any liberty of what they are gonna do. Cameras are always there and pens are always ready to create their journals using what they see. They cannot escape that circumstance, unless they quit the entertainment world.
