I believe I am an open-minded person. I actually explore other beliefs, challenge other beliefs, try other alternatives. Just like in the products I buy if there is a new product I would try it and compare it to my original favorite, if it is better I replaced my old ones. Do you like updating your beliefs or thoughts? I sometimes open up things on my mother trying to convince her to see the wrong things as I read it over the internet. She told me stop exploring those ideas I read in the internet as it can poison my mind. There is an old lady in our place that claims to stop reading the Bible because it is from the Devil but she is wrong in that thought. I mean, have you trash many wrong ideas lately and adopted new ones?

I have always been a person that considers myself to be an open-minded person. Whereas there are a lot of people that will count people out because their beliefs are different from their own, I've never been that kind of person I've had friends from all different races, creeds and religions. Also where a lot of people are very closed-minded to families that have a different arrangement than their own family, I don't think that there is anything wrong with homosexual marriage, interracial relationships, etc.

That's my way of thinking too but it does not mean that I tolerate things even wrong ideas. I definitely want to explore other cultures and even religions out of curiosity.

Hi averygirl, I consider myself to be an open-minded person in that I see some good in all things. I think that I have grown a lot in recent years in that I look at things from a more logical standpoint. Others can believe what they want but I don't agree with anyone forcing their views on another or spreading hatred. I certainly don't agree with the lady who says that the Bible is from the devil. An open minded person would have no problem with reading the Bible as it would give them a better understanding of what it's all about. When I was a young man I read the Book of Mormon and other books that the Mormon church consider to be the word of God. I could not accept the teachings but I did read it, seeking for truth. I have read some bits and pieces from the Koran and would be willing to read it all, as well as other Holy Books. I don't feel that any book contains the whole truth but there is I believe some good in all of them. I will not however, accept any teaching that tells me that women are not equal to men or that homosexuality is wrong. There is a great difference in being open minded and allowing others to take away basic human rights. Blessings.

That is good to see the good things in all. It's quite dangerous to close your mind and say that this belief is all true and it won't never go wrong. Though at times it's really scary to open up our minds and challenge old beliefs.

I am also an open-minded person. I like to explore things and places. But discovering these new things does not make me forget whatever I have been taught. I just like to compare them and see what could be the advantages of the new things that I have discovered.

That's right we tend not to forget the old things that we get used to.

Hi averygirl! I also believe that I am an open-minded person in a way that I am open to new ideas being presented. I also like to try new things which I find interesting. Especially on foods, where I would like to try out every new product being introduced in the market. While my children would like to stay on something that they used to have, I would like to try new flavors, etc. My reason is how will I know if which is the best if I would not try it all? Have a nice day!

Hi, I am open minded person. I am always be frank with everyone in my life. I don't hesitate in telling my opinion to others about certain things. I can also accept opposite opinions from others. I don't force anyone to accept my thoughts but I also can not accept the thoughts with witch I am not agree.
