the thought of our christmas party excites me already

A view - A picture of an ongoing parade that we watched from our office window. Take note of the road by the mountain on the background.

Here in our company, we already have planned our Christmas party. I was assigned for the solicitations that will be done. Thus, I have already talked with some big contractors and have given them the solicitation letter. Some have already asked me what they can give. I requested two of them to just give a lechon each , while some big ones , I suggested that they give cellphones even the Cherry Mobile brands so it could be included in the raffle draws for all employees. Just these gifts from the contractors pledged for our party, already excites me, how much more the lechon that we will be having and the fun that awaits us.

Same here all of us are preparing for the upcoming Christmas party, We are now starting to make a choreography for our dance because we have a dance contest during that day and also the so called Ms. macho where in all straight hunky boys will compete for this but the thing is they must wear girls attire, use girls talent and act like girls. I think this upcoming Christmas will be another memorable one.

Christmas parties are indeed something to look forward to jeztrose. And just like you, we also have our pa-contest. I even suggested that we have the dancing of the Gangnam contest. The best one will win a nice price. These boys dancing as girls really brings the house down with laughters from the audience. It never fails to amuse every one.

If you're that involved in preparing for the event, I'm pretty sure you can't wait for the day to come and see the success of all your efforts. Parties are always an ice breaker for everyone.

Actually it's our HR Dept. that is most the overall coordinator. It's just that they assigned the monitoring of the solicitation to me. They said that it's proven that i am good at it.

Actually, i don't do the actual solicitation, jure. It's the Logistics who does the purchasing from suppliers and the Business Dev. Dept. who deals with contractors that distributed them. As of me, i will only be the auditor , since i will tally & list all the gifts and safekeep them until the party. THen, after that, i will give out thank you letters to all the suppliers and contractors to thank them and i addition validate the amount and the gifts they have given the company coursed through Logistics and Bus. Dev.

Right, its the HR department who does all that. Soliciting is a tough task, you must be really talented, huh. I remember our HR ladies would take the free overnight accommodation, from the party booking. Lucky, but well deserved.

Oh see, aren't we all excited for our Christmas parties! We also have other Christmas parties. One is the Corporate Christmas party , which are for the officers and big bosses of the company. This year, i heard it will be held in Manila. I am excited for that too. Then, my boss will also be giving an intimate Christmas party for her staff - us 3 EAs and other close staff. I am excited for her gift to us too, because she usually gives us cash gift aside from the groceries and bags of fruits.

Wow. I wish we will have Christmas parties in our work too. In my college, we don't have Christmas parties. The last time I attended to a Christmas party was in 4th year high school. I wish I can attend to one this Christmas.

So you see i am not the only one! Is green the theme color of your party this year? Wow, refrigerator, for a raffle. No one pledged for that yet here for us. But i wish there will be one too, so the employees will be very happy by the big prizes. Yes, we are also still awaiting for the great party , which is the "Corporate" party where all of us officers and the big bosses of all our affiliates will be attending. It is always held on a hotel of our affiliates and the food are plentiful and very classy. These parties are something to really look forward to.

So you're kinda the coordinator of your Christmas party, huh.. ..and you're having lechon? I gotta know what address you're holding the party. Our Christmas reunion, however, will have a different stint. The coordinators wanted to do a raffle. I pull up a raffle containing an item which is worth less than our maximum price. It's a new concept since over the past few years, we've done almost the same thing over and over. I'm also kinda excited attending the reunion.

It's far but I've been there. I don't think it's fair buying something way lesser than the maximum. I don't think anyone will be doing that, though

Yeah, anyway it's Christmas so we might as well even make our gifts way beyond what is the maximum.

Sure my friend, you can come here in Bicol Region of Philippines! I am kinda confused of your raffle style. You mean you have your maximum prize for the raffle, yet what will be drawn will be lesser that that amount?

Any celebrations may excite certain people especially those involved in the preparation of the coming celebration. My kids are often requested to think of any brilliant idea about what to present in celebrations.

Your are right Yanti, that any celebration would really excite the people. However for most employees, Christmas is really something they look forward to, because of the tokens such as basket of groceries, and the prizes they will get from the raffles. Us here, we always see to it that everybody wins something in the raffle draw. Though one would be so lucky if he/she gets the grandest price.

Christmas Parties let us become like kids again no matter how old we get. You must admit that you feel the same way, too, right? Most especially when their is also exchanging of gifts among employees just like when we were in school.

Yes, i very much agree my friend. It bring out the child in us specially when we hopefully anticipate for our exchange gifts and raffle of prizes! As early as now, it makes me as excited as a child to his/her gift from her godparents.

Great, good for you ! But if you are asking me? I'm not able to celebrate it on the day of Christmas because it's not holiday here in Thailand, mostly they are Buddhist here. But maybe I can celebrate it late with my compatriots here. Merry Christmas in advance. ;)

Oh, that's sad that you are in a place where they don't celebrate Christmas. But yes, you can when your compatriots come together. Just some simple foods would do already. What is important is everyone has the spirit of Christmas!

Wow! I'm not a fanatic of lechon but I truly crave for them now since we hardly have any pork here in Dubai. Not to mention that I'll be missing out on the Christmas party as well. Anyway, I might be buying myself one whole Carrot cake that will be eaten by me and 2 sisters then seal the happy occasion with a prayer to reminisce the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
