What can give us real happiness?

They say it depends on a person on what can give him/her real happiness. But wouldn't you agree that aside from our own self there is someone who knows us better and knows what can really make us happy? Yes, there is no one who knows this aside from our Creator. Since he created us, he knows very well what can bring us true happiness. But since we cannot interview him face to face, he actually provided us a manual (just like how a manufacturer provides manual for their appliances/products). What is that manual? It is no other than the Bible.
All we have to do is to read, study and apply what is written in it. As for happiness, it is written in Matthew 5:3 that "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need..."
Most of the people nowadays only think about their material needs- money, fame, power, shelter etc. They tend to forget the other "need" that is needed to be fulfilled and that is the SPIRITUAL NEED. It has something to do with our relationship with our Creator, God.
Truly, we see the fact that even though people achieve a lot on their lives but unless they have close relationship with God, they always feel empty.

I feel happiness when I spend time with my husband and my two dogs. I love them so much. I don't only feel happiness but great joy that feels my heart with a happiness I have not felt growing up in my family. I have also great joy making my family happy. Hugs and kisses and talking to my family is the best.

Family is really important, and at the end of the day, no matter what happens, it is our family whom we can always hold on to. I'm happy for you. :)

I think acceptance and just not expecting too much from others is a good way to find happiness. People find happiness but neglects to see where it truly is. we try to find happiness from things, we work hard to buy the things we thought can make us happy only to find another latest object is available for us. Sometimes it would never be enough, it would be a cycle that won't end.
Others find happiness with other people, thinking that if they are with a relationship they can be happy and all the more they push people away from them once they start trying to hold on to them with all their might.

It's truly indeed, the true happiness is when you feel the spirit of God and the love of a family. This facts are endlessly joy and the material thing can give you also happiness but in a bit of moment only not for lifetime, though ! Keep the faith my friend. Have a great day ! :)

It is a grate thing to be happy and make others happy. I think one thing that often makes us happy is the internal satisfaction that exists within us. If we are satisfied with how we are living and how we are moving ahead then we can keep ourselves happy.

Yes I agree with you. If there is no spiritual growth in someone, I feel that person may not be truly happy. That person will feel empty inside like the life doesn't have any meaning, if that person has a close relationship with God, aside from also love oneself, he / she will be truly happy. Being happy means that you satisfied with oneself in soul and spiritual so having close relationship with God really means a lot.

what you have written is correct. because of too much things that surrounds every individual, they tend to forget that the real happiness lies in our relationship with God. as a result, emptiness arises. and as what you have said, even though people tend to achieved everything still they feel empty inside themselves. and this is because, their relationship with God vanish.

I feel real happiness when i spend time with my girlfriend and do everything I like. I like a free life, to do what I like. I want to make my girlfriend and my parents feel happiness too.
